There is an old legend about the bankroll. Once in the ominous city of the Wild Giants, an important game took place at stake was the title of three states. The Elf Giant and the Necromancer rely at the poker table to determine the winner. The rules were simple to play until one of the states ran out of money. The giant possessed unrealizable riches and immediately began to play olins by scattering chips on the table, but not even Five hours had passed when he realized that at least half of his state's money had already flowed into the stacks of the Necromancer and the Elf, and there was no longer the advantage that was at the beginning of the game .. As a result, the giant lost first, realizing only after the loss that he was not playing according to bankroll and doomed his fellow tribesmen to a miserable existence without shelter and food ...Whenever you are not playing bankroll, remember this story:jd4::):jd4:

Too many times have I done the same, it sure can be tough and tedious grinding micro games. Then when you get a decent cash you think it’s time to play some bigger games and go for the real cash, then you drop back to square one:(
Good luck and follow that BRM👍

Probably every player faces this problem, especially at the beginning of his poker career. This of course will not comfort you) You need to work on your game comprehensively, in particular, play by bankroll

Honestly, on micro levels the bankroll management is not to prevent you to go broke.
If you go broke on micro level - get a temporary job for a week and come back (most of us can afford it).

On micro levels, the bankroll management is there to allow you to track your progress and prevent you to become fish/cash-machine for other players.

Bankroll rules were created to prevent that exact thing.
Happens and you just have to regroup and go down a level to rebuild.
Basic rule, if you're thinking you may be playing to high, you are.

All poker players do this, some of us learn quicker than others. It's a tough lesson.

I never stick to any BRM. It is in my character. There is autism in the family, and my son has nonverbal autism. It is constant chaos in the mind. A few times it started to go better, but eventually I never succeeded in playing according to BRM. Hopefully being on Cardchat motivates me to do so after all. Poker is a very good school to get daily life better under control, since it needs stability to be able to play it successfully.

The mind is very important in poker to avoid this situation.

I think 99% of players have broke at least once.

In poker if you want to invest with your own money you need to invest maximum of 5% of your salary a month.
But if you are smart you don't invest with money you play free roll games and from scratch you build a bankroll money even if you lose you don't lose anything.

And what would be the bankroll rules? Please, any member who is an expert on the subject could tell you which are the best rules references to follow.

We all make mistakes. I also quickly broke my own rules and lost my funds. It's sad, annoying, but you have to learn from your mistakes and go back to playing smaller stakes.:(

If you build up a bankroll again try keeping it in a separate account as a "reserve" fund. It helps to have your funds out of sight (not on a poker site, and not mixed with other gambling $$) to avoid situations like this. It also helps keep you from getting tempted into playing games outside of your bankroll just because you have the funds.

I will tell you a secret, you are not alone, we are such 95% of players. We think that we can play and immediately want to win a lot of money, and we play not according to bankroll - as a result, we lose our bankroll and again and again make a deposit to win back. We don’t think that we don’t know how to play, we need to learn to play freerolls, read books, watch streams, do game analyzes, go through bad luck and don’t stop there - they will develop in terms of playing poker
