Cardschat Fall League 2014

We are now accepting sign-ups for Fall League. If you've been around for a while and haven't ever played League, now's the time! If you're relatively new to CC and have made 35 quality posts or more, don't be shy. League is a great way to get to know other members. The competition is tops and the people are super friendly; even hanging out on the rail is fun: doesn't get any better than that so GO-GO-GO!!!

I absolutely love CC League. Summer League ended on FRI and I'm already going through League withdrawal.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but no one can rail unless they are currently in the league. It really prevents extra people from registering and messing up the team scores. MM

for other good poker players, is very competitive, for my part I played tournaments Saturday and Sunday, there are very good players what makes one better, now work problems'm not playing much or nothing. but thanks for giving us this opportunity Cardschat. greetings and good luck to all

Can somebody explain how the league works? Does each team put one player into what amounts to a sit-n-go and you get points for your team based on your finish?

I'd love to do it, but I can only play on Thursdays or Fridays.

That's exactly how it works, teams are composed of 5 players who each play once a week. Typically there are in the range of 12-13 teams so we start out with 2 tables running 6-7 handed, and play down until there is a winner. Players receive points based on where they finish, which are added to their team totals, and the top three teams receive prizes at the end of the season.

The player who produced the most points per game at the end of the season, subject to the minimum number of games played, also claims the MVP title and gets an additional prize.

Every season there are some players who are only available one day a week and things work out fine, I encourage you to consider joining.

I just checked and yes, you have applied to the right club. You will be accepted after the teams have been selected on October 4.

arizoney, even though you can't rail our games, you can get a really good feel for the spirit of League by checking out the team threads throughout the season. Beyond the top quality of our games, League is one one of the best ways to get to know and become friends with other CCers!

well ty lark i will look forward to checking out the team threads during the fall league. yup the league play looks like its right up my ally for i have a lot of time on my hands. i feel the need to check it out as close as i can before i commit so i dont disrespect anybody and make sure its for me. the only commitment i have is to my harem jk (maybe) lol once again tyvm LarkMarlow--oh yea ty also Maid Marian

Yeah, it is kinda nerve-wracking at first, even for long time regulars, but you'll be fine once you get into it. To me, nervousness is just another form of excitement.

I didn't realize you could not rail the league games. I have mentioned that before to a couple new players trying to improve their game and I have suggested railing CC League Games a couple times..whoops. Guess they thought my suggestions were no help cause they never told me it was not possible to do
