Cash Game or Sit Go's?

i don't really play uch sit and goes, I like cash games better, but i may try out some more sit and go

I will definitely choose cash games, because they are more profitable and do not take as much time as other disciplines. For example, in a tournament, you have to play for several hours at least, and to reach the final table, it can take 10 hours.

sng is more +ev but full of tough grinders at the same time. real grinders tend to play alot of sngs

I like sit and go more, I think it's better to play, I feel like I earn more and the way I play is better.

i like sngs, my money seems to last longer there, lol

SitnGo is more safe, since theres only 1 bet, and can't loose more

Definitely Sit & Go. I personally prefer the DoN (Double or Nothing) variant. I have been playing on four tables at the same time for many years. In my opinion, it is the easiest way to regularly increase your bankroll.

If you have tried both cash and Sit Go's, you will notice that you find it more convenient to play in one of them. This natural feeling of enjoyment and comfort in the game will take you a long way towards developing the skills you need to rise through the levels of no-limit hold'em, and perhaps this feeling is what you need to strive for.Some people have a lot of difficulty starting out in cash games due to the fact that playing every pot could potentially cost them real money if they lose. For them, this circumstance outweighs the benefits of winning real money in cases where they win the pot. Thus, the psychological barrier of fear of losing will greatly affect their play and hence they will not be able to play their best game.

I prefer cash games...that's where I am most comfortable!

I started out with cash games but eventually got bored with them and moved to tournaments. In the beginning I mostly played MTTs including MTT-SnGs, which back then were plentyfull on PokerStars. Single table SnGs is the last game format, I really got into, and I mainly play them, because I dont always have time for MTTs.

In my experience it is easier to make money in MTTs than in either of the other formats. Cash games tend to get quite tough and reg infested from 25NL, and so honestly does SnGs from $10 games and up. In both game formats you are also battling against quite high rake on most sites, so a lot depends on, which kind of rake-back deal is available.

For both cash games and SnGs you will also need software to compete outside the micros these days. For cash games its solvers, and for SnGs its push-fold software like ICMizer. Without this you will easily end up being one of the fish or at least a "bad reg" losing money to the better regs. And I also recommend using a tracker on sites, where its allowed.

I used to play sit and go's for fun, which is about all they are good for, certainly one table sit and go's. It is almost impossible to beat the rake.

Difficult but not impossible. According to the sharkscope leaderboard, there are some SnG grinders, who are already up around $10.000 for the first 2½ month of 2024. And in top of that they likely get a ton of rakeback.

Cash games are very different from Sit and goes, in that they tend to be more aggressive also it is so easy to let your money run away from you, with just a simple mouse click you can restack every time you bust out. The blinds never change unless you move to another higher table, and even if you bust out another player there is nothing stopping him from restacking and fighting back, So it becomes more of a grudge match with opponents trying to out do one another.
Sit and Goes are more like mini Tournaments each one is similar to playing on the Final table, and when you get down to the final 2 player it gives you the opportunity to practice heads up play, You are limited to how much you can lose in each game because they are set buy-ins and although you seem to be winning small amounts compared to larger Tournaments, they are good practice for bigger events.
The Rake from Cash games puts me off because they take their cut out of every hand played, where as in Sit and Goes the buy-in includes the Rake so you know exactly where you are.
I suppose it all boils down to Do you want to play Poker or just win money? Personally speaking I just enjoy playing the game, so sit and goes are my favourite, Winning money is just part of the game and means nothing to me as it all goes into my Bankroll.
I think that the On-line Poker boom has hit it's peak and now is in decline, with fewer players so the bigger games are harder to fill, PokerStars deciding to stop the freerolls is just one example of how the On-line play is in decline.

Tournaments give more satisfaction, cash games give more excitement 🤣.

My experience has long told me that I shouldn’t play at tables with cash. But Sit & Go tables suit me and tournaments too. I was convinced of this from personal experience.

I really like to play card games, especially when I can have fun and win a little, that's very good

I preffer Sit'n'Gos and tournaments rather then cash games. But cash game with friends can be very fun.
It's also important to play Cash games because you're always involved in post-flop situations and you can improve your game in that area, MTTs in the other hand involves a lot of pre-flop situations.

Need to try more a Sit&go instead cash, cash is tricky.

I dont know where you play your cash games , but the small stakes live casino ring games in California are almost unbeatable due to the rake and 'promotion drop '.

He play online. Small stakes 1 day live tournaments are even more unbeatable with fast structure and very high rake.

here you have to choose what suits you best, both options suit me and sometimes I play one thing and sometimes the other, but for some reason I play cash games less than spin go. I like dividing prizes into 3 players and I always hope that sometimes I get a big prize with a large sum

Neither one nor the other. Only MTT, only hardcore)

sngs are great if you only have 30 minutes to an hour .....and you play more pots as it gets short handed ! in a full 9 handed 'brick and mortar' cash game ,where the action is very slow , i could easily go an hour without a playable starting hand , (and it seems like that happens every time i try one !)

I prefer tournaments. I usually have bad results in cash games. But tournaments in general bring me a profit. It is thanks to MTT tournaments that my bankroll grows. Although I rarely play in Sit and Go tournaments, they are generally not a bad option either.
