Lost the Bankroll - In an effort to really increase the bankroll for the CFCC Challenge, I took it all into a ring game ( stupid I know) Ran the $40.00 up to over $60.00 when I got dealt pocket JJ's. Needless to say JJ's are the hand I hate the most, when the bet got to me it was $2.50 so I called it with the intention of seeing if I could hit a set. Four people in the pot, flop comes 10 J 6 rainbow, first player bets $4.00, second player calls, I only call because the pot came rainbow so right now the only real worry for me is a straight draw. Last player goes all in for $87.00 crap. First two players folded. Now I have to decided if I want to call, I know I flopped the nuts and he got to have a big pair, because if he's going all in on a straight draw, he's an idiot.

So I decide I have to call it, I know at this point I have him beat, and I can't let my history with JJ's rule this decision right now. The cards flip over and he's holding suited A K of clubs. There's only one club on the board, not sure what he was thinking, but for me this looks damn good right now. I have my $60.00 + in there with top set and he's got to pull off a damn bloody miracle to beat me. He has 4 outs to make the straight or he has to get runner runner club to hit the flush. The turn comes 9 diamonds and now he's down to just 4 outs and I'm at 91% to win a nice $130.00 + pot. Then some fat lady shows up, starts to sing as a Q is now floating on the river. The poker qawd's really must hate me, cause it's back to the fraking freerolls again! NOT GOOD AT ALL.....See Odds

What stakes are you playing at ?

To go in with $40 you have to be playing at 25/50 cents at the very least.

Way way above what you should be. Thats the whole point of this.

I am on Bodog and I have it up to $120 nearly, but I am still playing on the lowest stakes until I reach at least $200 then I may step up. If I go higher I risk losing more than I am currently winning.

In each session I stop when I get about $3-4 in profit then I come away.

FWIW KK vs AK is NOT anywhere close to a coinflip. If i'm not mistaken its better than 2:1 for KK about 70/30 or so.

Works If You Work it

This bankroll management thing works for me...
I can't wait to get to a $1,000...I'm thinking soon.

I played over 400 hands multi-tables (2) @ .05/.10NL
buying in for $4 winning a few bucks and leaving ahead.
I was up $28 before I got a lil tired and started thinking I'LL GAMBLE..I did lose with pocket aces
against 10's. and I took some chances and reraised some
hands with nut flush draws with top pair and LOST...and a set of 4's got beat and all them hands were $10-$12 pots.............................................................anyway

I really do want to go play higher stakes. but I know that my bankroll can't handle it...
I'll go bust...I ALWAYS DO..atleast I used to.

My account was up to $108.18 at one time.
I know this because I always look at it when I know it's ready to break new ground.
Well anyway here is some advice for anyone doing this Challenge.


1. Don't Play when your tired.
2. Don't enter a ring game with 100% of your roll.
3. And stay the hell out of my pots

loss what i have raise!!!!!

i did raise $299.73 1st week of sept.. and loss it.. dealer was against me always.. to make it worst, i'm losing with the best hand preflop... AA KK... losing to what garbage hand... now had difficulty to get back again... even if ftp freerolls... i'm playing at fulltilt............ and same happening at pokerstars...

Ok this is the third time I have tried to leave a post so Ill be brief

CC freeroll-->1$sngs up to 25 dollars --> bubble boy lost money

Plan is,

1) get to 28$ grinding dollar sngs

2) play a 2$ then if I win carry on with them

3) lose then grind to 38$ then try a 2$ again

Next weeks goal is to have a 50$ br this time next week which I would class as an acheivement for me.

Sunday evening after play..

I woke today about 12pmET, after a 4 hour session til 5am.
I rolled over and hit the power button and logged right on.
I was playing 4 tables with $4 buyins..I was up to $120.23..THEN..
I had a few things go wrong..I started calling preflop with more hands then I usally like to start with...anyway...
I had stop playing after feeling myself reach a level of tilt coming on
since I had been up $20 within the first 300 hands and only managed to break even
I'm gonna play again this evening...around 9 or 10'oclock.

Finishing up for the day,bout to turn out the lights..
I played 200 hands and Im up $21 after playing 3 tables with $4 buying
at the .05/.10NL ring game..seems like the longer I play the worse I play
I don't want to over do it.

I keep stopping and starting right back up again.
I Quit..get bored..and 10-15mins. later I'm right back on playing.
My bankroll is now at a very easy level to manage ,atleast I feel comtable.
I been getting lucky and playing really good poker as well. I have some hands below you can check out and see what I mean.

Good point and taken into consideration Alon. So I am going to scrap that goal as all I am doing right now is bubbling or coming 3rd.

It's just a challenge to determine who can take $0 dollars and turn it into $1000 the quickest. If you have heard of Chris Ferguson he is the one who did it to 10k on Full Tilt with a starting balance of $0. Hope that helps

Week one over & nothing to show for it. I didnt expect it to be easy and knew its getting going that the hardest part (keeping it is the second hardest thing building it up is the third).
I feel like i'm doing the right thing, betting big with good cards, same thing happens, someone goes over the top of me with crap and then gets lucky.
I got 44th & $6.00 in the $500 added, I then discovered what bonus dollars are, : ( i was sad.
Beginning to think I have chosen the wrong site, Pokerroom.com is full of players that don't know just how good I really am,

It's been tough I don't normally play freerolls but while I've been waiting for them to start, my Mansion account has grown from virtually nothing to just under $100 so I must be doing something right? which is also giving me the incentive to carry on.
I just need a couple of $'s to get going.

Lets see what this week as to offer.

For right now i only have .72 cents in my fulltilt account but by the end of tonight i think i might be up more i will report in after the .10 cent tourney thats gonna be playing in at 17:35 today

U can still make it roadrage, theres a .10 cent tourney everyday at 17.35 u can play in it and make the final table with me to turn a .10 cent buy in to couple hundred bucks

freerolls are just not poker, they call you down with any two cards, crazy b's I had aces on the button, one guy goes the river with me, he turns over Rev Green and get out-of-jail. like I said not real poker and any two cards.

well i am going in the right direction i started with 37$ on the 1st and i play 1 stt 2$ buyin a day (because of time to play) its been slow going but i am also using ferguson's brm (as he did) and i also cashed in all the stt here is a shot of my br and my opr stats
