It's Friday night at a 50c table why doesn't anyone want to chat? It should be a fun game.....damn no one wants talk.....kinda sad for me and everyone else.

I hear ya. I usually don;t chat a bunch during my day game but this was a "had one too many" game and I was just messing around. One person did actually start chatting with me and another told me I talk too much.....lol

yea i think people should chat more but i guess people insist on being anti social. i see alot more chat in freerolls so maybe the more serious players dont want to chat as often

I'll chat at the start of a tourney, but after a few levels the game seems to become more serious and players don't want to chat that much.

Once in a while you run into a motor mouth tho-that nevers shuts up. That can be a little annoying.

Second I think I was that motor mouth last night.

But you know what. It's Friday night people. If you're gonna be sitting at 50c poker tables at least have some fun.

What do you talk about? I'll sometimes comment on hands, or if someone comments on a perceived bad play I do I'll make some donkey justification like "flush draws usually hit on tuesdays."

I like to say hello when I sit down. If players are being chatty in a good way (pleasant, able to laugh at themselves) I'll chat back.

I'd like to think that there is some basic etiquette at the tables where you should say NH or GG. I'm playing at such small stakes that I don't think I need to be messing with anyone's head!

My thing is that I get really annoyed at rude comments when someone's on tilt. When you're playing for $1 or a freeroll, really! If you're going to get that upset about a bad beat, maybe you shouldn't be playing. That's the advantage of online play; you can mute the players!

When I chat I really don't have any set things in mind. I say hello and see where it goes from there. It's kind of annoying that people dont have the courtesy to say hi back. I was pretty hammered though. I don;t care as much about it tonight.....LOL

Probably play on multiple tables do not get to talk.
Or like me turn off chat!
Poker is a fun game, but to me it's fun to take chips the players and not to chat with them.

I have my chat turned off because people at micros make me tilt way too hard, and it goes both ways too. Too much toxicity.

I have one exception: if I've been in the same table for a while and everyone is chilling playing solid and there isn't much stealing and all-ining going on, I will turn on chat and start a funny conversation. And since I can only play with fellow Portuguese players, this is easy.

Yeah man, i know that the players are playing for money, but cant even they have some fun while we're on the table? I mean, nobody wants to say anything, only play the game with the same poker face for hours. Well maybe these guys think that distracting a little will affect their game quality. I like to talk on table, espcially when I'm with friends, buth trying not to bother everyone around, like talking to people beside me or making some funk of something.

Chatting at the tables is a double edged sword imo. I chat alot but find that after I make a "single serving friend" I play a tiny bit softer against them. I might fold or not raise because of the companionship which can lead to negative EV.

Poker is war and everyone else at the table is the enemy.

Are you playing with high stakes? They might be just playing seriously so chatting will make them distracted. Still playing so silent so boring and makes the game sleepy.

Because everyone is somewhere else.
Social networks,Youtube,small games....
No one follow chats,sometimes i am also on other place and just wait poker to jump window play hand and back to other place!
