Knowledge and discipline are both important factors. But in my opinion, there must be discipline first, because without discipline you simply cannot acquire and assimilate knowledge.

For me it is a combination between both and being demanding in one leads to inertia you acquire the other at least in poker, for example if you are disciplined sooner or later you will acquire the knowledge to be a winner

Knowledge, combined with discipline...because there no point in being disciplined if you have no idea what you are supposed to be doing...as there is no point in having all possible knowledge and lose your BR in a moment of indiscipline. So, between the 2 of them...I would pick them both.
