Sometimes I listen to music , sometimes I do different things while playing, like watching Netflix or YouTube . Sometimes music relaxes me , but other times it might not help . It all depends on the mood and circumstances.

I don’t usually listen to any music while playing poker. Poker is entertainment enough. If I do choose to listen to music I prefer no vocals or vocals that I don’t understand so that it is just relaxing background noise.

Many players put on background music. I think that if the music is played muffled, it will not interfere, but what kind of music to put here is a matter of taste, you can put on just a melody without words, you can put on rock or classical music. I don't think music is in the way.

I subscribe to quite a few instrumental music channels on YouTube. Of course, everything depends on the mood, but you can always find something that will help your concentration.

For me, it depends if it is online or live. I much prefer to see and hear everything when playing live so no music, online i will go through spells of listening to music, depending on the mood and the importance, techno/trance is probably best for me, just a beat in the background that does not make you take away with your thoughts too much, if it is music with more meaning with words, i feel this can send the mind away from the focus needed for poker.
