Do you believe in luck??

Do I believe in luck? Sure, why not? It does not cost me anything. But I saw a quote that I cannot remember the author he said " Luck is a funny thing, it always seems that the people who work the hardest always have the most luck"

I know that is not word for word but you get the idea, we make our luck by working harder at our craft than the next guy/gal.

It really can't be explained on how it happens. There are always pivotal moments in a tournament that may give you about 3 lucky hands. The thing is what do you do with those lucky breaks that determine whether or not you can place high or even win the tournament. I'm mot lucky. 😒

luck will always exist in any sport you do, in this case poker there is also luck, but it should be made clear that it is always a minor percentage, the rest is study, skill and perseverance, then the good results will come.

I believe in statistics and mathematics that are applied to improve the chances of winning... although from time to time some hands come up... I don't know whether to call it luck or variance hahaha

For example when I'm short stack got nines in the 1st hand pre flop and go all in, I see nothing but luck that will decide the pass to keep on the tourney. Although In this particular situation such a decision is sawn as a reasonable one (or not), it's gambling still.

I do believe in luck, but it seems that luck in poker has a different name, it's called variance, whenever I say bad luck or good luck at a table, someone has to come out and correct me, which is the variance of poker. Will this be true? Is luck equal to variance?
