1) They group posts, it is stupid, you can a question, it will be buried under 1000+ posts.

2) They lock your post.

Different type of forum software. I would imagine that he is viewing posts in threaded-view, or some such thing. He just hasn't come to grips with it yet.

As for #2, not sure. Maybe he is talking about "closed" threads. If that is the case, got to come to grips with that one from time to time too. Mods can close a thread at any time, and at their discretion.

Why someone need to hate "4"? Maybe in china, i think, its can be unlucky number. But in generenal im ok with elementary math

I was banned from their forums because I expressed my opinion that poker dealers should get paid minimum wage because it's unskilled labor.

I went on to say that it's a great job for college students or people who want to start a career in the gaming industry.

They run a Nazi style forum where they ban you if you say anything that they fundamentally disagree with. I'v been banned 3 times from each of my laptops. Also the forum their is poisonous A Lot of hate for asking newbie questions

Just out of random curiosity, why would you ever advocate for any worker to get less money? Skilled or unskilled is irrelevant. You're not a multi-billionaire I assume. So why would you advocate against a fellow worker?

This is a good question. The deck is stacked in favor of the employer already. Also dealing is a skilled labor...not super skilled but non the less not worthy of degrading min wage.

Well we were having a discussion on tipping.

I was arguing that tipping a dealer $1 on every pot was a great way to lose money and that it should not be (almost) mandatory.

The counter argument was that dealers don't get paid enough.

I then made the statement that it was an unskilled job similar to fast food and does not demand a higher salary and that if they got paid over minimum wage that they should consider themselves lucky.

I was then reported and banned.

yea that tipping is real profit. I never tip unless I am at a restaurant. You were just voicing your opinion that itself is nowhere near bannable offense as I see it.

Even if you disagree with my statement, it was just my opinion and I wasn't hostile or angry or anything.
It really took me off guard, and when I emailed them to see why I was banned... they never replied.
If I try to login there it says You have been banned. Reason none, length - forever.

Hopefully their forum goes down. They don't have the team mindset of cardschat but their general topics are better than cardschat. I found Mason Malmuth to be a grudge holding real jerk. He really does not let go of things and has like a blacklist of people/organizations that slightly treated him bad in the past branded into his psyche.

Forum at one time was good, its total crap now, but thats mainly due to all the former good posters all monitize now. What I never understood is how CC can do all this free money for members and 2+2 does nothing and they are suppose to be the SITE.

2+2 isn't necessarily 4 though! OP didn't suggest that he was talking about interval or ratio scales, he could be referring to nominal or ordinal!

Well, I suppose that the majority of users who identify and actively participate in that forum are somehow more 'Pro' therefore freerolls or tournaments of that style is not part of their priorities or needs. It is only a theory.

I have entered the site and the truth is that I see it quite abandoned, I do not know who is in charge of updating it. But it is obsolete. Run a version of Vbulletin 3.8 and currently go for the 5.4. It shows that they have stopped maintaining it for a long time. It occurs to me that someone who devotes a little time to harm their safety easily

If that is all it was I think a ban was harsh.

I do tip dealers though - they work long hard hours and it is not as easy as it looks.

You are still entitled to your own opinion though.

Well in their defense we still run an old version of vbulletin too. At least for us it has nothing to do with not wanting to stay updated - updating to the current version is in our plans.

But - it is a HUGE and very risky undertaking and a lot of hard work and planning has to go into it. So many things could go wrong, get lost etc etc.

With that said we have techs working on our site every day to keep it as good as possible with the current version.

I noticed that this was an older version. Glad to see you all are working on upgrading, because I have Chrome as my default browser and it doesn't get along with the Advanced Editor too well. I often have to go back in and edit out 'div' elements, extra line feeds, etc.

I can imagine going from version 3 to 4 would be a nightmare, going to 5 maybe more so. Either way, it would be a major undertaking and wish you luck!
