Most of my friends like poker, but they're not in to it as much as I am.

We still play occasionally, even if it's without or with little money.

I have close Friend's who have never played Poker, and I have Friend's I have made through playing Poker, but once you hear "Shuffle up and Deal" and the cards are in the air, all bets are off, and we want to destroy each other on the felt.
When we reach the break, we can become Friend's again, laughing and joking with each other, but once we return to the table, We become Fierce enemies wanting nothing more than to take each other's chips.
That is the nature of the game, and we have to accept there will be casualties, but to lose Friend's over a stupid game is not what you are looking for, remember Poker is a game, and should be played as such.

No one even knows the rules. We saw a movie with Maverick and Meth Damon with the KGB. But they don't know anything else. I live in a small town. There is a poker club in the neighboring one 50 kilometers away, since poker has been recognized as a sport in Ukraine. But a lot of players from other cities come there. I didn't seem to be there myself. That's it. I also advised my friends to watch how poker is played in the start track and several other films. But not particularly interested. I didn't bring anyone to the forum. No time to apologize bro...

I have some friends to play poker in online. But for sure not all people respect poker as a game, just because sometimes people can loose money in this game and they can,t control theirselves sometimes.
I also know lots of situations, when people start to play poker, and after that they start to play casino games and other games, maybe this is the reason, why some people prefer not to play at all any gambling games.

My wife is my everyday poker partner and she makes it all worth it in the end. Other than that, I'm pretty autistic and don't enjoy social interactions or what others consider "fun activities". I'd rather do them with my wife or alone or win at anything against people who can't stand me or contradict anything I say. That's my life but I've found my gem and will do my best to offer her the best possible life. That's how I get my motivation.

Unfortunately, I do not. I had a couple of friends that used to play live at one of the casino's which is about 1 hour and 15 minutes drive. This was a couple, a man and woman and we really used to enjoy the night's we spent playing poker together. It was almost always $1 - $ 2 so it always remained fairly friendly. We definitely did NOT soft play each other, in fact, it was important for all of us to play well against each other.
Even now , online is mainly just me, I do have a few "acquaintances", but we almost never get on the same tables and if it happens it is never planned. One of the biggest "hurdles" in my studying is not having a living breathing person, to always be able to go to and get an honest opinion. I do have a few sites that I can post hand history's to, and get good feedback, that helps but is not enough. :deal: I definitely need to make more of a commitment.
