98% of all people playing poker online or in casinos are hoping to get rich hoping for that big payout! Sadly it's like an actor going to Hollywood only a few make it big! Oh by the way the 2% that are not trying to get rich, is because they already are rich.

It is a nice extra side motivation to be rich from Poker, but it is not main motivation to play cards.

No. I tried some years ago and came to the conclusion that I am not up for it and that the odds are terrible for it. So now I just play for fun.

Sure everyone is hoping to get rich, poker or not. Would venture to say that not many have a goal to get rich in poker. If so, for those with that goal, it would be extinguished before the reality.

My life for the most part wouldn't change much, if the "hope" came true. Found contentment in all aspect of my day to day. Would cut back on work (part of being content), be more charitable and travel more. Always felt money doesn't equal happiness, for some it could be their nightmare.
