Snacks

I like to focus when I play. I will bring healthy snacks to a tournament and eat quickly on the breaks. Examples are sardines, nuts, and protein bars.

I use to love it until I gain tons of weight. I went from 140 to 200 pounds from eating and playing games or card games. I was so chubby and I stopped that for a long time now. I begin to workout more while playing game and stop eating while playing. I lost all my weight that I gain and will continue to not eat while playing game.

I usually eat a couple of hours before a tournament. During the game, I prefer to drink black coffee with salty biscuits or dark chocolate. It is said to help focus attention and improve brain activity.

Sometimes (especially important for MTT fans) the duration of a game session is longer than expected, and you have to be distracted by cooking (although experience comes with time, I suspect that most experienced MTT players have food ready before the start of the game session. whether they need it or not).

Fruit snacks when on a break during games keeps energy levels up - especially bananas for me personally.
Eating during poker has been shown to be a positive thing when needed, however as we all know, over eating or consuming a large meal can lead to early onset of tiredness as the body refuels and heads for hibernation lol

I don’t have time to make actual food while playing so I tend to graze on the smaller stuff like granola bars, fruit anything quick and easy
