Do you play all year long or do you pause in certain period of the year?

It's not tied to a specific time of year; rather, it's a lack of motivation, burnout, or a serious slump that causes people to take breaks.
Once you've played, the only question is when you'll play again.

I play daily, I’m not scared of variance and I don’t run from the river.

I usually play all year round whenever I can. I don't have a specific break period.
Though the Christmas and New Year holidays would be the most likely time for me, but I play whenever possible because there are some really interesting promotional tournaments that keep drawing you in..lol And for those who love it, it’s hard to give up poker!

I don't play poker during my wife's vacations, as we usually travel to relax.

I'm always playing, rarely, I leave a day and a half without playing, hence the whole year, including Christmas and New Year.

There's some periods when I can't play, is not chosen. But when I'm not feeling great at the tables I tend to stop for a few weeks at least

The thing is, about five to seven times a year, I just don't feel like playing. What I do is take four or five days off before getting back to it; I have a getaway place outside the city where I go, or I simply rest and do other things.

I take breaks if I'm sick or in a bad mood. On such days it's better to take a break, to rest because it's more financially correct.

I'm just a recreational player, I take very frequent, very long breaks from poker. I think I play better after taking a break. Again, I don't really win any money from poker, I just play for fun. My job and my life are very busy and I don't have that much time or as much time as I would want to play. And I don't really make any money out of it either.

I almost never play during vacation, but during holidays I usually play when I feel like it and have time.
