Do you smoke more because of poker?

Is it normal that when you play poker the consumption of cigarettes increases? Or is it possible that it is anxiety about this pandemic and being locked up for so long?

I smoke more when I have some kind of stress or excitement, that is, let's say I play poker and I do not add up, I lose a lot of money or when I play at a large number of poker tables and the Internet connection is cut off or the lights are turned off suddenly or when my computer breaks down during the game, I am disappointed because of this I want to swallow the pain with a cigarette and not one or I went deep into a tournament where there is a lot of money and I worry that I can leave it where there is a lot of money and I smoke a lot.

Honestly, when I play poker I smoke less than usual. During the game, I can only afford to smoke during the break. So in this context, it is useful for me to play poker.

it is true that I smoke more cigarettes when I am playing poker. I usually smoke a cigarette per hour taking the break to reduce my stress. otherwise when I relax while watching a movie or doing some other activity. I smoke a cigarette every 3 hours.

I like to smoke when i play poker.
Smoke a joint destress myself for maybe 2 or 3 consecutive hours. Then i can play like a champion, focus on my target.( the win )
Smoke a cigaret will stress my body... the cigaret is too addictiv for me.
When i smoke cigaret. 1 hour later i think only of my next cigaret instead of focus on my game and hands....
Everybody is different. Our mental is different but take care cause we consume same additif and bad products.
Go green waves.
Its always better to smoke 1 or 2 joint a day instead of 20 additiv cigaret full of chimical products.

3 months ago I decided to quit smoking the about 20 cigarettes a day I smoked.

When I played poker I smoked even more, in situations of risky plays, big pots, bluffing, it seriously increased the desire to smoke, as they told you in a comment above, it is a matter of anxiety.

I don't smoke so I can't say much about it, but thinking that most of the people smoke more when they feel anxious, make sense to smoke more when the person is playing poker.

I have been a smoker for 12 - 13 years, but the last couple years I have been on/off, couple weeks/months here and there, can't seem to quit for more then 2-3 months, I do think though as I smoked constantly for 10 and the last 2 years I've been on/off has kind of been weening me off though, I think a lot of people need to quit like this, even though its been 2 years for me I still miss certain things, when people are in groups smoking in the smoking areas and I used to be part of that etc.. the social aspect I guess also, when you get angry, everything can be calmed down with a ciggerette, now the anger is hard to control unless I go back to ciggs,

Smoke

I know I smoke more during the lockdowns as a lot of the normal activities I would normally do I couldn't. Thus smoked more as I sat home and played poker.
When playing poker live (unless at a friends house) I will smoke less as most casino's don't allow smoking anymore.

I use a juul and I find myself using it a lot more when im playing poker. Maybe because im nervous or something but I definitely use it more when im playing poker.

I used to smoke a lot and often, but about two years ago, I managed to get rid of this habit. And to be honest, it seems to me that after that my results became much better.
