Not usually. Sometimes it's a way of manipulating opponents: you show them you were bluffing after they fold, and next time they reraise you when you're holding the nuts. If you're giving away information, try to make it disinformation!

I never show my hand unless I want to misinform, like if I play a weird hand and want an opponent to think I play those hands like that.

Hello everybody!!! When playing poker, I very rarely show my cards at showdown, I do not want to give extra information to myself to my opponents !!!

I always have the setting not to show in order to remove the temptation. Also, it slows down the game if the software is waiting for your response. I might mention my cards in the chat, but then the opponents don't know whether or not to believe you. It will usually be something like, "I have AA in the BB and everybody folds? Can you see my cards?"

Never show your cards, do not give up free information free. Many pro players are making notes and is not worthing showing your cards when is not necessary. Only if you want to have fun. If you take poker seriously don't show cards.

Q - Do you usually show the cards before returning them to the deck? --
A- 99% of the time I muck - that 1% of the time I do show cards is to show I was bluffing

When I do show my bluffs its normally when I am deep stacked and expect to run well, other than that i hardly ever "show" my hand.
I hate giving information to my opponents, some people don't realize that people DO take notes

I usually don't simply cause it's adds time to the game (those few seconds while it's prompting you each hand).

I'll show if a player asks and it won't affect my table image, if I'm betting and I have a good hand, I will show it so that next time I bluff they will be more inclined to believe I have a hand.

It works vice versa also, show a good bluff and you can get value out of your best hands next time!
