Yeah for sure Music is relaxing and gives you a sain mood and environment to have your own play tempo and get relaxed while playing.

I always play instrumental EDM with some nice headphones and a coffee. I find I play better when I block out anything from outside of what's on the screen. Sucks when I lose early and have to just sit there drinking a coffee. I find the music just keeps me from hearing anyone knock at the door and the cat meowing for food.

i would advise u with instrumental music
i always lose focus and intend to do some dumb play which make me lose all my chips with some high energetic music lol

Well, I think a little music at the start of the tournament helps put me in a state of flow where I can stay more focused and give my brain a warning: Okay this is the time to focus and focus. some time I turn off because I already reached this state and nothing can stop me kk.

It depends on type of music you listen to. Heavy music tends to make me concentrate better, but it really is up to individual.

It depends

Generally it does...however, in an important hand it can be distracting.

I therefore often find myself turning the volume down to very low level until things return to even keel once more.

However, always play similar music- light, airy chillhop

I'm not really sure it improves my game .. but I do think it has a positive effect on me .. I love classic rock mostly in real life, but I love music and I listen to several genres .. out and about doing chores etc. .... but when I play poker I listen almost exclusively to Jazz, and I usually do listen to it, .. it has a very smooth, calming effect on me and I do think that translates to a benefit to my mood/attitude and in turn that probably has some positive effect on my play .... listening to rock or other things pop, country, even blues has a more pronounced effect on my emotions probably for better and worse, so I leave that be while I play ....

I definitely find that music helps me in a game. Music helps to keep me balanced emotionally and focused mentally. That little bit of a distraction is enough to keep me from getting bored while watching the action when I am not in hands.
