I try to play poker in my spare time
But because of the length of the tournament, it's hard to know when to finish
Sometimes it happens that I change some things because playing poker
I love to play poker, but sometimes it affects my private life
But since I much like poker, I will leave things as they are ;)

Poker does not influence my personal life. Because if I play, I choose free time and plan my whole day. Sometimes I have to skip an interesting game, but it's not important in comparison with my personal life.

If you play poker in your spare time then it's okey. But if you left your work for playing poker then of course it will hamper your conjugal life.

Sometimes when I play a tournament and friends invite me for a coffee I can't answer if I will join them because I don't know when the tournament will end for me... I tell them that if tournament goes good I will miss the coffee but I will buy them the next coffee :)

I share my computer with my wife, so it can create some tension on occasion when I am in a tournament and do well. I never know when I will finish, so I can't tell my wife exactly when I will be off the computer.

It does affect my private life. I'm a broke, and unemployed student trying to build a healthy bankroll in order to turn poker into an income. My education is up in the air, and poker is one of the few things I'm good at (or passionate about). I'm quite desperate to find something I can make a decent career out of. My family doesn't understand that aspiration. I'm sure they think I'm a total degen, which is hard to take. My partner doesn't know much about poker, and I'm sure in some ways thinks I could use my time in a better way...so it's really tough.

My influence as a wife sometimes resents the attention more to poker than her.

Poker is my life. Play everyday except when I go Drag Racing. I'm 71 and live alone and plan to stay that way. I'm 0 for 3 in the marriage department. Grin !!!

If you do not plan right you end up leaving other things because of poker. Always plan before playing so as not to affect privacy.

Playing poker definetely doesn't affect my life, and I think most people if not all that play poker and love poker organise and manage their life in a way that job , personal life and poker don't cross each other lines .
Problems start if you spend more than you would really want , that might cause some troubles in your private life , I agree with this . you have to be carefull :)
If you have time , you play more hours , if you a family , working more hours , you play less , it's all a matter of organising things :)

Good Luck

My private life affects my poker. Or I should say my life in general. I love to play but I like to enjoy life on a whole.

Not at all if I didn't play poker I would have nothing to do. I just recently got laid off so I got nothing to do 15 hour days now I have a lot of spare time to play and look for a new job.

live games in a friendly company are very useful in finding friends, and they often turn out to be interesting people with whom we travel together

Poker does not affect my personal life, I play poker only when I have free time, I play more time in the evening and on weekends, or when I do not have homework and have free hours then I play poker!

Nope, there are always poker games available. Fitting in to ones schedule can be done. Like things like watching TV, listening to music, exercising, you know, enjoyable things.
