My wife is not interested in poker at all ..... and she doesn't like much that I play either ..... the same way she got used to it over time, since I have been doing it before I met her. Regards.

Definitely not, my wife enjoys poker. However, she always gives me sh*t because she wants me to give her undivided attention. Understandable... But then again we all have our vices.

I have to say he doesn't enjoy poker as much as I do. He likes to watch races on the laptop. That's his hobby,not mine. I do enjoy poker immensely and he enjoys the races.

My wife didn't really like the game when we first met, but after I taught her how to play it was calmer. she likes it when I win a tournament and when we play at home with friends but is not as interested in playing for real as I am.

When I started playing, she didn't know what poker was but she was supportive. Now she likes poker because it has brought us together again. And neither of us is gone for 8-10 hours every day. So technically we have both won our lives back. And, apart from finances (which are fine), it has had a good impact on our lives. Now I guess, she likes it more than I do as she started playing as well. For me it's become more like a dream job than a pleasurable activity.

I am not married and currently do not have a girlfriend. But my ex-girlfriend was unhappy with my passion for poker. She thought poker was a waste of time.

My Wife hates the mere mention of the game but she has to admit, I know my game when it matters, One night I was just about to walk out the door, when she reminded me she needed extra money for our Holiday wardrobe (bathing suits etc). I just said "I will leave you my winnings" and shut the door.
I was 1st out in the game I was playing and the rule was you could re-buy once but you couldn't re-enter the game until after the break, at which time you would be a big underdog with less than 10 BBs My Friend who had accompanied me, asked if I was going to re-buy and play again and I replied "I have to if I am going to win it" we both laughed at that, but I was serious!
1st hand after the break I was on the button and was dealt A/K suited, I shoved All-in needing a double up and made a flush, on the 2nd hand I limped into the pot with A/A, when the BB 3X raised trying to protect his blind everyone folded round to me and I just said "not big enough" The guy on the BB asked "whats not big enough?" I moved all my chips forward and replied "Your raise, I'm all-in" he called and I doubled up again, back into the game, I went on to win it, and when my Friend said after the game "I didn't take you serious when you said You were going to win it" I just said "I had to win, I promised the Wife my winnings" with a big smile on my face.

My wife has tried to play with me, but that's not what she likes to do. She's never been against or pissed me off about it. But it would be nice to share that passion with her more.

Well when my ex and I were together she did not like poker at all. It was more of a misconception I think she didn't like poker because of the environment around my local game. Which doesn't reflect the game itself but rather the place where the game is hosted.

My wife doesn’t like poker and doesn’t play it, but she doesn’t forbid me to play it and has nothing against poker! My wife and I have different types of hobbies and we sometimes discuss them, but we do not forbid each other anything! All good!

as long as my wife gets here time shes okie she kinda dont want me to play but she ives in and see thats its the only thing i have doing other than work so she doesnt make it get to her anymore

Well as sad as this is my girlfriend of a little more than 3 years and I just broke up and a big wedge that had grown between us was... Poker... She hated poker and felt I neglected her because I played so much poker... At several points in the last couple of months she even said it is me or it is Poker. I literally said I will not lie to you and say I won't ever play poker again... There were many other factors leading up to our breakup which was literally a week and a half ago but poker was one of the big things that we could not seem to agree on... I am still really hurt to be honest. I am struggling quite a bit right now. I mean all of my family and friends have all been very supportive and said they are all here for me... But at least I have poker!!... Lol

P.S. The entire story I just told you was 100% the truth.
