It can't be that it always happens, you're exaggerating and just don't remember when things went well. However, do not be upset if you play correctly, with strong cards, then in the long run you will always have better results than other players who play with junk.

This is a typical sample of variance, maybe you didn't bet big enough to have them fold big hands?

You need to understand that pocket aces are just a pair. And any hand other than AK will have about 20% equity. That is, once out of five, aces will lose and sometimes lose a lot.

I always get rivered by a donkey aswell. Why does this always happen?

The way to play them should vary according to your stack. The pair of aces is not infallible. Open the hand strong, if they call, bet smartly on the turn. I would play them like this

Play around with the odds calculator here at cardschat and you'll find that you're going to lose AA vs any trash had 15% preflop and you'll be an 80/20% fav against a decent hand so I would tell you not to get your hopes up too much and of course you have to worry about coordinated boards.

The best thing I could get you is not to get too locked and excited about having a top and play accordingly. Too many folks get overconfident with an over pair only to get really, really down when the pair gets cracked. When you know what's going on then all of sudden its a lot easier to deal with when you get unlucky.

Everyone always complains about the AA couple. I personally have never complained and do not think that this is an unimportant card. On the contrary, this is the best pocket pair. The fact that she does not always win is not terrible. You need to play this card correctly to minimize bad moments.

I'm sure you played the hand to get the pocket 9's to fold & probably everyone else at the table realized as soon as your first bet that you had the poc A's & folded. Just your bad luck that you ran into a donkey who refused to fold an inferior hand. God how I hate it when some fool can't figure out what I have from my betting patterns & insists on staying in a hand with inferior cards. Just variance ya know but here's hoping all your dominate hands will immediately be folded to.

I think I wasn't clear enough he hit his 9 on the board not a pocket , called a 200 dollar bet with the pair his other card was a 7 .... 97 off suit I understand the variance but it still stings LOL!!

You may not be protecting your strong hands properly pre-flop or you may simply be the victim of a losing streak of variance. play your strong hands as the canons dictate and you will get good results in the long run

You will win more times than not against this kind of player. He will not hit the board that many times.

I just got knocked out in a tournament with KK vs his 82o. Now doe this hurt and sting when it happens? of course it does but to be honest its OK Why?

I want this DONKEY at the table with me. Yes they get lucky and can drive you crazy and nuts but the value you get from them is so much better than average. If he were to show up at my table I would do a metal fist bump with my wallet and look to get paid by him.

I know the feeling - it happens to me all the time and it makes me not even want to play pocket As. I always lose it on the river and it makes me want to just rage. I think the only solution is to play higher stakes, but unfortunately my bankroll doesn't allow it, lol.
