Pretty sure you probably won a rivers to but that probably isn't donky behaviour by you right?

if you don't post how the whole hand went he probably had a read on you and just won the river, it happens thats poker. if you can't deal with badbeats don't play.

With overpair vs underpair, the overpair will lose 20% of the time. All of the over vs unders. Because math. And that will still happen whether you are playing 1/2, 2/5, 10/20, or 20,000/40,000. Because math.

Now the psychology of this involves stuff like negativity bias, stereotyping, group attribution error, etc. That is, as has been mentioned, you remember the bad beats and assign it to the "donkey" (fish, et al) being stupid rather than the simple math of the situation.

Poker is like that. Unpredictable when it comes to luck, but when it comes to technique we should always do the obvious. If there's a loss with a pair of AA, that's part of the game of poker.

Without more content to access the hand in more detail, it is hard to give a more balanced view. Did you consider if you overplayed the aces? At showdown, they are only a pair.

Yeah, everyone seems to forget that pocket AA start out as top pair with a very bad chance of improving.

Hell AA vs 78s is 50/50.

Aces are unfailable but only preflop. After the flop we all need to accept that even aces can be beat and learn to give them up. The hand most difficult to let go of but at the end of the day its just a hand

Bloody hell... I know that but the caffeine hadn't kicked in. Overpair vs Underpair (80/20) is the same as Overpair vs. Suited Connected. The differences are often because of who has what suits dominated.

Yeah, read a couple of your previous texts so knew it had to be an error you didn't catch. We have enough beginners showing up here who will believe most any assertion so thought I'd let you know so you could correct it. The first thing you should know is that pocket aces are the best hand in the game. And just because you sometimes lose with AA doesn't mean you should limp or even fold them preflop. In fact, pocket aces are an 80% favorite to win the pot against all pocket pairs such as KK, QQ, JJ and so on.
