for sure. especially when you lose an all in, most of the time when you have chips left over, players go all in in sequence. ends up losing everything. patience and always analyze even after losing an important hand.

I've been playing poker for over 5 years and I've noticed that my life outside of poker, my emotions and some other things hinder my performance, today I'm sure that to be the best at this game, you need to be focused regardless of the rest, and that's often it seems impossible, but I think that any player who manages to nullify all this has everything to be a winner.
Yes when you login to play poker you have to leave all your problems behind you.
The game itself generates emotions that are tough to control. So to be a skilled player you have to learn how staying calm even when it's hard

If we let emotion affect our game more mistake we made. Play the game the best you know how and let the variance run it course.

I try not to play when I'm down or angry. I always lose money when I play like this.

Yes, I fully agree. When you sit down at the poker table, everything else should be left at the table, this is the only way to show a good result.

is that it is inevitable to let emotions into this game when you find yourself with mixed hands when you are facing certain rivals, personally I cannot help but control those emotions in a positive way, despite the fact that I know very well the variance of the poker

Emotions definitely make a difference when playing poker. I always try to have a calm head and think only about the game in order to get a better performance, because otherwise our day-to-day emotions can negatively interfere with our actions while playing.

If emotions are important, it's hard to handle them, but you have to do it to become a better player. It's one of my goals.

So true at all, there is a well-known phrase in the place that I live, which says "to beat others, you must first beat yourself"... I think it applies to poker 100%.

If it's hard to have emotions, don't change your game. Anger, for example, can hurt you a lot and that can be harmful to your bank because you can lose a lot of money.

I have lost the most money while having other stuff that made me totally not focused on the game before many years. Learnt my lesson and always play when calm since then.

Professional poker players give importance to mental preparation before playing poker.

Playing poker is like going to work, you have to try to forget personal concerns and focus on the game in order to make the best possible decision during each spot.

Emotions can interfere with the game. But on the other hand, we play poker to get emotions. Not everyone plays just to win, though.

Good morning everyone, in my opinion the best way for you to make the best decisions without the emotions affecting you is to play within your bankroll limit, if you have $1000 you should play Mtts up to $10, I played Mtts much more expensive than they did I get nervous and I don't make the best decisions and secondly is to study over time you will play almost automatically if the theory says it's a shove do it, if the theory says call All in with that amount of chips so do it, following the theory and increasing your profit will be right.

I try, through other activities outside of poker, doing physical exercises, boxing classes, walking, running, stretching ..... exercises to relieve stress, burn energy and feel calmer when playing, it has helped

Listening to relaxing music helps me in the game. It is also better to always take breaks to have time to "cool down" after unlucky hands. You also need to play not too full and not too hungry.

This so accurate my friend we need the balance in playing poker is definitely a mental game and the longer sessions we play the more harder it gets to stay focused, anything can happen specially in late stages of a tournament just in a blink or one mistake and all can go to the sewer. It is very hard and so its always good to eat healthy rest well have physical training, these all attribute's to a level headed poker player I myself have a huge way to go, but never forget to to enjoy the process and not just the goal:)

An emotional control is essential to achieve success in Poker and in any area of life. Try to enter tournaments or cash games only when you can stay focused. No distractions from the people around you. Try to put aside your personal, family or financial problems and never enter a game in a hurry to get out of it, as this will make you look for results quickly and fatally you will risk trying to 'resolve the situation soon'. This is poison to your game.

Surprisingly, it is impossible to play poker without emotions at all. You have to put your heart into poker if you want to succeed. You can give your wife's salary without emotions.

You need to remove all expectations from the game, then the result will come by itself
