WOW, this hand is so sick

first of all, it was the very first hand of my session today
second of all, it's against a good aggro reg who has caught me squeezing before and knows what a great spot this looks like for me
third of all... well:

--------------------
HAND #1
--------------------

Full Tilt, $1/$2 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 9 Players

MP3: $200 (100 bb)
CO: $80 (40 bb)
BTN: $702.50 (351.3 bb)
SB: $67.70 (33.9 bb)
Hero (BB): $200 (100 bb)
UTG+1: $70.55 (35.3 bb)
UTG+2: $86.40 (43.2 bb)
MP1: $40 (20 bb)
MP2: $78 (39 bb)

Pre-Flop: Hero is BB with K

great success! first 20/80 i've won this month

In fairness tho, even with history it is unlikely villain will make a play at you the very first hand of a session. Very few players would sit down at a table and squeeze at the first opportunity w/2 callers and i doubt villain thinks you are making a play here at all. Still nice set up.

for the most part i agree with you, but it just depends what level you're on like most other things in poker. if i believe villain thinks that way, then obv it becomes a good spot to make a move since he shouldn't think i'm making one. on the other hand he'd beat me in some big pots the last time we played, so he could think i'm letting ego get the best of me right off the bat

but the main point i meant to make was that i'm 3betting there pretty wide for pure value since he's a pretty aggro player raising HJ and there's tons of presumably dead money. thus he'll obv be getting it in lighter than AA for pure value as well. for us to have the 1st and 2nd nuts there was kinda crazy

graph for today (technically yesterday + the first half hour of today but i haven't gone to sleep yet so it's all today to me)

feb10th.jpg

first night i've run terrible, assumed it was going to happen eventually. as you can see, i ran good for approx 20 hands on the day, the first 20 :). pretty sure i was supposed to lose at least 5 buy-ins overall though, somehow didn't. damage really wasn't too bad at all. hit 2 sets tonight, lost with both, got AK about 25 times, hit with it twice and lost both of those... probably won like 3 pots with AK in total. if i c-bet without a hand i got raised about 80% of the time no exaggeration. kind of ridiculous. guys with 4% raise flop-bet stats would check-raise me like it was standard. had at least four scenarios where i said to myself "haha, wouldn't it be amazing if they actually had [insert absolute worst case scenario only hand in their range that can beat me]" and they had it. actually laughed a lot. yayyyyyyyy pooooker

will see what we can do tomorrow, g'night all

QFT, initially you get a ton of credit, so exploit that.

according to my calculations, FU isnt a number dumbass!!!!

drop down imo, make monies at 100nl for a few weeks, then play 40k hands of 200nl in the last week.

also wtf have you been awake for like 30 straight hours or close to

dude just stop playing. It happens to everybody - you have a shit session and can't sleep (i do not play at night anymore for this very reason - gives me time to relax if i have a big losing session) and just want to keep playing even tho almost all of the time it is just a massively -EV spot to be playing. If it makes you feel any better i started this month with a $2400 losing session - only took 5k hands to make it back. You just run horrible sometimes, nothing you can do cept stay positive and win the prop bet (so i don't feel bad for not betting against you :D) if for no other reason than to spite switch

*cue Rocky theme music*

I am going to kick 200NL's ass. I am going to kick this bet's ass. Doesn't matter how far behind I am now (pretty far behind). I AM WOMAN HEAR ME ROAR. No wait, scratch that one.

Tonight I remembered how to play, but more importantly how to not run like garbage in every large pot. My freak-out yesterday just goes to show how new I am to this "grinding" thing. If there's a way to smack poker upside the head and make it my bitch then I'm going to do it. Comeback commencing...

This is the dilemma for a grinder, 'do I carry on playing through a d/swong'. How the SNE griders do it on a regular basis is beyond me. I have had major, sickening d/swongs but I continue to play through them coz I was conditioning myself for the SNE grind. It absolutely destroys your winrate, but it's something you have to deal with if thats your goal.

FWIW combu, 50k hands should be well within your reach, even if you have to forsake a day off or 2 through running bad, so don't risk it! (obv I'm angling here to play havoc with your psyche and win my moniez! :p)
