venting below:

i don't know if i can take this anymore. i don't know how anyone can run bad in everys ingle hand they play, but thats what been happening to me for hours and hours and hours and days. they never ever ever ever ever miss. and it's just not even poker anymore. it's not. when FTP so kindly grants me to privilege of connecting with the board, its only because someone else has a bigger hand. this just absolutely can't be real. i've never run as bad in my entire life as i have the past week or so

and i know when ever i read someone else saying these types of things, my first thought is that they're probably not playing as well and they think, and that's part of what's affecting their results. all i can say is that i've played my ass off. i've reviewed hands with a clear head, and through everything i've stayed true to my game and my reads. even while in the midst of a big downswing, i've raised AK and folded to a 3bet preflop from a pretty tight guy because i knew his game well enough to know he'd never 3bet AQ or worse pre in that particular spot. it would have been super easy to just shove the AK since AK is the nuts and bemoan my luck when he has AA/KK, but i didn't do that

it's just insane watching how people can never miss against me and i can never make a hand that's best. the consistency with which every board misses my range/hand and hits my opponent's range/hand has just gotten so startling, so beyond anything i've ever seen at poker in my life

if you want to know what it's like to hit every hand, i recommend sitting down at one of my tables and playing hands with me. i just can't even imagine how many times i've been 2 outered on the turn, as if 5% shots are 1 in 3 to hit vs. me. i've run below all-in equity, but that part hasn't even bothered me so much. it's just yet another way i've run god awful

i played 3 straight hands with a fish. first hand i had AJ on AJT vs his KQ. next hand i make TPGK, he makes a straight on the turn. third hand i have QQ, he flops two pair with 58o. at the same time as the third one, QQ vs 33 on another table, he flops the 3. all the while i can't flop a set or two pair to save my life UNLESS IT'S TO LOSE TO A BETTER HAND. it's so goddamn miraculous, so insane. i want to know what it's like to have the best hand after 3 cards come out, and then to still have hte best hand after the 4th card comes, and then to still have the best hand after the 5th card comes. HOW THE **** DOES ANYONE DO THAT? HOW? HOW HOW HOW HOWHOWHOHWOWHOWHOWHOWHOWHOOWHOHWOHHOW

rant over. ****ing kill me

Best of luck to you man. I would like to try that one day, but as for now, I will just stick to the small buy in private tournaments, and the $.50/$1 cash tables =)

GOOD LUCK!

it's not a huge pot, but it sums up what's been happening to me almost every hand so well. i swear on my life i've had a similar situation 5 times this month where they make some goofy raise on the turn with air, 6 outs on average. they've gotten there on the river. every. single. time. not. once. have. they. missed. why do i even try to play well? why don't i just click buttons and get there every hand like the rest of these idiots

That really sucks man.
Ever considered moving over to stars and continue the bet there, in some small hope that the doomswitch will be flipped ?

Or do you not believe in that sort of mojo or is it against propbet rules ?

A rough patch combu, but you're still ahead and probably have 25k hands left to crush 200NL. Good luck.

meh i said FTP specifically in the terms. even if every person i bet with agreed it was okay, i'd feel weird changing it now. plus i know the regs pretty well and have tons of notes. just going to stick it out with FTP for the rest of the month. appreciate the leniency though <3

The bet I put down wasn't really in hopes you'd fail the challenge and I'd win $50, combu :)

gogogo, you can still do this.

I so picked 50,136 first :p

Yep, you're right. Sorry Makwa, I don't think I can give you another pick after the fact as it gives you the chance to find a prime spot in between other picks.

jokish123 said:
i am obviously to late to be counted in but i will post a number anyways based on what i know about him...

43,568 hands

But I'll give you jokish's pick 'cause he was too late and picked without caring what anyone else had picked. If you win, you can fight it out with him over who gets the money. :)

alright, mentally re-grouping. read below if you want a chance to win free money!!!!

firstly i know i should be appreciative that i'm still ahead on the month. i know losing months are possible even for the best of us, so i'm grateful that i'm not in that boat (yet). since i've rarely ever played long sessions before, getting screwed unrelentingly for hours on end while playing the best i can is a new experience for me, and it's frustrating. i just have to put things into perspective. and it can't be healthy to let this crap stress me out so much.

i've vented enough already. so i've decided, if i complain about my luck for the rest of the month starting now, either here or in the february poker chat thread, i'll send $25 to the first person who points it out. posting a hand where i take a bad beat or otherwise lose is okay as long as i don't include anything that would be construed as complaining or whining

g'night all

Combu, you're still gonna crush it - relax, get the right mindset, forget the bad beats, it's just variance - then gogogogogogogo - everyone here is pulling for ya

As much as it seems the whole world is against you, it would not be beneficial to your win rate to move to stars. I know you arnt moving anyway, but if you do, you will give way any edge you have gained against the regs in the past 2 weeks~~ from your notes and data. Some of those little notes you have are utterly invaluble.

You wont run bad forever, it just doesnt happen, fact. Once the pendulum swings the opposite direction the mindcrush you will put on your opponents will have them /reloading like crazy yo.

Positivity FTW!
