If I were to set colour ranges on my 3bet and limp-call stats what would they be ? I'm thinking 2 colours per stat, high and low.

What is high and what is low for both at fullring?

make it 3 colors. high, normal, low.

3bet is low when it's less than QQ+, AK, i.e. 2.6%. Use pokerstove to get a feeling of the ranges. It's high above 6 or 7%.

limp-call, what matters is how immediately profitable isolating will be. If he limp-calls less than 40%, you can more or less raise as wide in late position as if the pot was unopened (that means ATC if the blinds are tight). If it's more than 70% i'd say you do need a real hand.

I remember feitr mentioning something on how important bet sizing is and how it causes people to do weird stuff if you get your bet sizing right and i found a good example of that today

I can only imagine, and scare myself silly, at to what the variance is like in Omaha hi/lo SNG WTF!

fwiw, being fully rolled for HU is about 50 buyins to cover variance, probably more to be safe. Its such an awsome game until you hit that first downswong, then its just the worst game ever invented

Guess I'm not as rolled as I thought I was

I was referring to cash jake, the bankroll needed for sng's is much less.

You need a big bankroll purely due to how quickly swongs can occur, its very possible to lose a couple of coinflips, miss the flop on a couple of 3/4 bets and have to give up on hands, get coolered a couple of times, and end up losing 10-15 buyins within 50 hands, even without making a mistake.

There is a thread on 2+2 of a guy who lost 7k on 1 table playing 200nlHU against 1 fish before winning nearly all of it back

.25/.50 HU NLHE. i played dogishead (INTERNET POKERS) the other day when he sat with me (he beats like 25/50 HU) for an hour or so. it was like a free $650 lesson (he charges $650/hr for coaching)... he ended up quitting me after i took 2-something buy ins off him, which was cool.

anyways i'm playing strictly HU ring, so don't try to get me to move back to full ring and stuff because i'm not going to! also lol i'm finally quite rolled for HU, but i don't think i'm moving up to .5/1 on stars yet because it's like actually tough relative to other sites and i don't want to have to go busto again
