There are an amazingly large number of (god awful) players who seem to hate betting. I will never understand how you can have the nuts (or virtually the nuts) and never think it's worth a bet, or my favorite..check behind or just flat call on the river. Will never, ever understand.

Honestly I think the worst part of the hand is him raising that flop. Second worst is not betting river lol.

That's 3rd worse imo. Honestly I don't mind flatting QQ in a lot of spots where most people 3-bet. This is not one of them though because I would be 3-betting you and looking to get it in. So yeah I think it's a mistake because you raised from SB and I assume you have a super-wide range which includes a lot of Ax and Kx hands but I think the flop raise and not vbetting river are both worse than not 3-betting pre.

In the turbos, the rake is 1/22nd of the buyin

If you always get it in as a 60/40 fav each tourny, what would the roi be?
Is it 15%?

What do you mean by 60/40 each tourney? You mean if we assume no stealing/coolers/etc. and every hand you just straight up flip 60/40 until either you win or bust what would your roi be? That's possible to figure out if you include the payout structure.

holy crap zach, my vista just did the same freeze up bullshit in the middle of a session. first time it's ever happened to me too. sure enough, happened when i was on the river and just check/raised kings full for 2/3 my stack. got back to the table and had moneys so apparently the guy folded. holy crap if he shoves over the top and i timeout i kill myself

eh maybe a little, but i think any club draws are a huge part of his range cause the guy is an idiot. and these guys check back the Ac on the turn to be "tricky" as a standard, basically. and he'd also check back a lot of his weaker clubs but never ever fold on the river. he was retarded, i feel like betting is -EV. i wouldnt have been surprised if he called me with that cause he hit his straight!

If he calls you still split, if he folds you win extra money. So isn't the bluff the better option then ? Or am I missing something.
You'd just pay a little more rake right.

option 3: villain has a weak club that doesn't bet but will call a bet

? you're missing something. the point is that if he's ever retarded enough to call with a chop, it hugely hurts the merit of betting. but even without that i think betting is bad

cool just ran AK into a 60/0 halfstack who slowplayed AA, flop came K95, beautiful

I still know the feeling. I just got busted out of a tourney, 2 1/2 hours in, by 24o! I had QJs and the board fell J2Q, I push, he calls turn/river are blank/2!

I spent about 5 minutes letting him read my extensive knowledge of four letter words in both upper case and lower case!
