Every hand i find myself against a female player was really hard to read or predict.
i thought i was the only one thinking that way but almost everyone i know agrees about that.
i would say they play old school but also very versatile

In my experience the women who play poker and take it serious are usually pretty good solid and pretty tough at the table. Me my buddy have run a home game now for abut 15 some years and have around a total of 20-25 players total. The two female players we have that play pretty regularly are both easily inside the top 8 best players. Both are really good, tricky and sneaky type players.

Cheers!!!

If they are professionals they are strong. If they are amateurs and have not worked on their emotional side. You may have weakness. You know that in poker the emotional side counts a lot. You can take advantage of that weakness.

It’s because you play them with the feeling that you’re a men and she a woman and you get shy.

I haven't noticed such a trend. I just think that among women there are also skilled and experienced players who are no less skilled than men. But I haven't noticed that women have any special style of play.

I've played against some very tough female players, but I don't think it's really about gender. Some are super aggressive, others are very straightforward. I try not to make assumptions based on who's in the seat because that can lead to mistakes. I'd rather pay attention to their actual tendencies and adjust from there.

The female brain works differently than ours, so some moves may not make sense to men, but if you play based on the General Objective Strategy (GTO) and explore the Villain's Strong Point (VPIP), you can beat anyone, whether male or female.

in the long run, following and playing as the book says will eventually pay out , in the long run...

In practice, the level of difficulty does not depend on gender, but on skill, discipline and decision-making skills. There are world-class beginners and professionals alike, and playing against the latter is just as difficult as playing against top male players.

Women are harder to beat, especially when it comes to patience; they have more self-control.

In business, women are generally reserved while men are adventurous bordering on reckless. This is one reason men are both spectacularly successful in business but almost big losers.

Leaving aside individuality, I would assume women are the same in poker. They will bluff less and be easier to bluff but solid players.

I think it's easy to fall into confirmation bias here. You remember the tough hands against female players because they stand out, while the routine ones fade from memory.

In my experience, good players are hard to read regardless of who they are. I've played against women who were very balanced and others who were straightforward, just like with men. I try to build reads from tendencies, not from who's sitting in the seat.

In online and live poker, there are still fewer female players in the overall player pool, so some women who reach high levels tend to be very strong, because they have had to stand out in a smaller and more demanding competitive environment. However, that does not mean that “being a woman” makes them play better or harder to beat

In my opinion, I don't think there's a difference between a woman and a man, there are good women poker players and women who are bad poker players, just like in men.

Maybe it's not that female players are harder to read — maybe they're just better at letting us think we've figured them out 😄

I don’t think female players are inherently harder to beat because of gender.

What may happen is that many players have less experience playing against women and make assumptions about their ranges, which can lead to incorrect reads.

Some female players do have solid fundamentals and can be very balanced and adaptable, but that’s true of many strong players regardless of gender.

I try not to make decisions based on who the player is. Instead, I focus on their actual tendencies, betting patterns, and frequencies.

In poker, the toughest opponents are usually the ones who are unpredictable and fundamentally sound — and that can be anyone. ♠️
