Not sure who she is, but her name's in red so guess she's a pro, but why would she be slumming it at micro stakes, like me???

FTP pros are known to play in smaller buy-in games and freerolls every now and then. I think its part of their contract, but it also gives us low-limit players a chance to play them. Maybe bust a pro or whatever. And I think its FTPs way of showing that they're not to big to play with us little stakes folks. I've sat at tables with Huck Seed in a freeroll before. And with Juanda in a small stakes buy-in tournament.

Yeah i played on a table with her a couple of weeks ago in the Midnight madness. She was making some rediculous plays (seemed like she couldn't lay down if someone gave her nice pot odds no matter what cards she was holding.) I'm sure she knew exactly what she was doing and actually ended up taking 2nd in it... After getting KO'ed i checked back in for some of the final table and her play was definately more well thought out during this stage than when i was playing with her (which was just ITM.)

Even the PROs are allowed to tinker amongst us. What's unfortunate is such people are "flagged" in such a way as to reveal their levels, so they're not entirely anonymous, which is what I'm sure they would rather be on such occasions. AND consider that sometimes, when they do this, they're compensated, as it peaks the general groups of players interested in the prospects of challenging a pro ... keeps players coming back.

I'm guessing it's part of their contract or sponsorship as well. Every day/night you'll see a pro player drop into micro buy-in tournaments or sng's. I'm sure it's not cause they actually need the $20 if they win it!! guess it's just a gimmick that Full Tilt uses.

Happens fairly regularly. Dag Martin Mikkelson was in a $2 SnG that I played in last week. I've played a $1 90-player against that Sascha Biorac guy a couple of times too - he seems to play them a lot. Never heard of him off of Full Tilt though, apparently two EPT cashes are his biggest claim to fame.

Funniest one ever though was playing 10-20 play money razz with Amanda Baker (MandyB) for about an hour. Goes to show there's slumming it and there's slumming it, I guess

I actually saw sascha biorac in a $1 90 man Sit'n go last night... and decided that $1 was well worth trying to win a t-shirt (much more desireable that the $26 1st prize). It turned out that he was sitting out the entire tournament and i eventually busted out before he blinded out.

If been at the table with Sacha(Sp?something) twice at the micros ones in a 90 1$ and again in 3$ ko.
Its probly in there contract like others have said.

I had the pleasure of playing with Andy Block on a .05/.10 caplimit 6 person table on full tilt. I guess I was lucky to sit down, because as soon as I did, there were probably 20 people on the waiting list. Anyway, he said he was in his room in vegas and just killing a little time before he went down and played in some event. I thought it was cool of him.

I think the pros have to log a certain amount of time on those sites, and since the purpose is to bring in more players, it makes sense that they would spread it out to differing money levels.

This - I suspect their contracts probably even require them to spend a certain amount of time at the low-limit tables.

Sometimes it seems to be exploited too though: logged on one night and there was a pro (can't remember which one now) registered in a satellite to a tournament that was starting a few hours later.

Thing was, said pro was already registered for the main tournament - they had their seat and didn't need to be in the satellite. Loads of people were registering for the satellite, but about 30 seconds before it started the pro unregistered. Bit iffy, I think - it basically got extra people to register for the satellite because they thought they were going to get to play a pro, when the pro didn't seem to have any intention of actually playing the game.

I found myself at a .05/.10 $3 cap NLHE table with Bruce Buffer (the UFC announcer, and apparently a full tilt red pro) he sat with over 1k at the table for a while and was a very sociable nice guy I made a real nice 3 bet bluff on em and showed hehehehe He was obviously just playing for fun but it was cool of him to mingle with the lowlifes in micro.
