Once live at a cash game and once online. The cash game had a high hand jackpot, and there were only 2 tables running at the time so it wasn't a big jackpot. Still awesome to flip that hand over though!

I have gotten straight flushes in online poker, but surprisingly never a royal as I have gotten 4 aces quite a few times.. I did get a royal once at Woodbine casino in Toronto on the poker machines for $1300

Yes, a royal flush once a year is a pretty good unit of time. Of course, it depends on how much you play poker (i.e. hours at the poker table or number of hands). Statically, a royal flush comes about every 650,000 hands - of course you have to play hands like JTs + or at least a card that requires a royal flush (at least Tx) to get one. Although I've already got a royal flush on the board (with a split pot for all players involved). Before every royal flush, however, there are statistically at least 4 straight flushes, and definitely a dozen quads

Remember only got it 2 times (both spades). One didn't really give me any value, but the second one was amazing, because I had KQs (spades), the flop was AJT of spades. I raised and immediately got raised by AA so I called because I don't want him to think I even got the flush. Turn was A and he went All-in lol.
