I've already quit poker for a couple of years when I was in college because I realized that I was losing too much time playing poker. I came back to play online poker when the pandemic started.

As many others, I did quit because of poor results. You need to know where your limit is. If you hit it then you need to chill for awhile until you can afford to play some poker again.

For me, poker is a hobby in my free time, I don't play professionally, so I don't have such questions, since I haven't started playing yet and I can pause at any time.

I actually just got back at it.

I was so involved in this gig I had that I had no time for poker.

And I've even forgot a bit of what I had learned hahaha.

I live in Ontario, and the new law next month will make me quit.
There will not be any point to being a cardschat member anymore either.
See ya !

Of course, such thoughts come to the mind of any player who has been playing for several years and who wants to make money with it. Just take a break and read the new poker articles. Analyze your hands, look for mistakes, look for new ways to beat your opponent. And when you have a rest, play with new strength and new knowledge

I've thought about quitting and now I know I'll play for the rest of my life.

I've thought about quitting and now I know I'll play for the rest of my life.

Good afternoon everyone, yes, I've thought about stopping playing poker, there is a situation that every poker player knows the variance, if you learned the theoretical part, the chances of you being a profitable player are great, but it can happen even if you do the correct plays can happen not having good results and this is normal can happen.
When I didn't get good results for a while, I started to wonder if it's a good idea to keep playing, that's when I watched a video about variance and it changed my view of poker and I kept studying and playing and I had good results.

Poker

I have not pushed myself away from the tables. Can't say it won't happen. I do wander what it would take to make me do it? I certainly have experienced enough frustration to where I just shut it down for the day, only to return next day for another challenge.

I did when I lost my whole bankroll but came back after a month. Habits are hard to break and I just try to be as patient as I can.

In general, I did not think about it. But sometimes I just don't have any free time, and then I just don't play. Sometimes such forced breaks can last for a week or two, but not more.

I never thought of quitting, but there are times that he gets bored if he plays very often.it happens that there comes a time when you stop thinking about the game, if you play for a long time, then you need to think to quit for a couple of days.As it is, I don't see any particular reason to quit poker at all.this is only for those players who are very gambling and play poker like roulette, while losing a lot.

I never thought about it. Poker is a hobby for me, and this hobby is not harmful to my health and is good for my brain. I have no plans to quit poker.

No way I'll quit playing, I'm 76 years old and live alone. It's pretty much the only thing that I enjoy passing the time. Besides I can make a small amount of profit. ;)
