We all have at one point, but if you are referring to money games, I was into Euchre growing up. Was never big on giving my money away at cards and poker seemed to be the best way to loose it, so never played.

I had to learn to play poker to play a game called Michigan Rummy. The opening of the game was a hand of poker for the POT and to decide who would open. I was about 13 or 14. I played War at about 5, and Canasta at about 8 of 9.

When I was Knee high to my dad's leg....

I used to play WAR with my older brothers.....for HOURS.

Was a blast back then and it still is.

I started playing Rummy with my mom at a very young age, before I was in school. Then we played Pitch a lot then moved on to Pitch 5-9. We played all kinds of card and board games.
I started playing poker pretty young, for pennies at grandmas house. I always remembered to bring my container of coins whenever we visited.
Then as a member of our local volunteer fire dept, we played all kinds of card games for money. Dealers choice.

Yes definitely, I played what here in my country is called loba y cachos, so when I started playing poker it helped me a lot to understand how to win due to the hands that the game commonly has.

Omfg I still love Euchre. One of my favs next to poker. Then rummy.
