How Do You Find the Time for Poker?

I recently quit my job, decided to start earning money with poker, I play microlimits, so far everything is fine.

Since I am home due to my retirement I do have lots of time to play tourneys and other games. I also have time to reply to this forum. Glad I have belonged to CC for quite awhile. Good luck to all.

A lot of the time that I to play poker comes from down time at work or late at night when everyone is asleep. Often times I do get time to play when I'm watching another sport.

You have to make time to play poker. Wait until it's your weekend to play and then you could play all weekend if you don't work. You have to make time for poker in your life. If your life is too busy then I guess poker will have to wait until you have spare time to play.

I’m in the same boat as op. Been off on disability 7 years after three back surgeries. Even with all that time I still have trouble finding time to play long MTT with family commitments. I try to play when kids in school or,I know I got lots of time. I also play on ipad so that gives me freedom to play while I do chores like dishes or cooking meals. Not sure how people with families who work full time find the time to play MTTs

I organize myself to make time to play since a game can last several hours I am organizing myself for the week as it were and ever more among all my responsibilities that I have to perform during the week, it is the only way to play without neglecting your other obligations

In my life in general, after highschool i have a notebook where i organize my everyday tasks and i also schedule day by day also based on free time. If you are strict to it, you will find it very useful. In the past i played av. 1 hour poker especially at night and now i have a bit more so i enjoy the game more. Hope it helps you.

Personally i prefer playing evenings just for an hour or so, so i usually play Hyper Turbo Small tournament or at the weekend where i have enough time to enjoy bigger tournaments... So it depends on the lifestyle you are following and on the time you can spend on poker taking into consideration that it won't hurt your daily routine system.

I am retired now, but when I was working (and NOT working out), my relaxation was always in front of some type of screen; either TV or computer...tired or not from working, this was my method of winding down to get sleepy. So, if I wasn't watching sports or reruns of NCIS on TV, I was playing poker on the computer.
