How do you like to play? Online or live?

In my experience, I have to say that I prefer live poker because you can see your opponents face to face and watch as their money disappears right in front of them

I play online because there is no way to play live poker.

I would love to play both online and in person but haven't had the chance to play in person yet.

I can only play online because I don't have that many friends that play and I can't get to a casino to play. I have played live before with friends and it was fun but I was nervous as hell. I don't get nervous playing online except for when I get my money in good and have to sweat out the cards holding.

I enjoy playing online since I don't have many options for live play.

Same with me

I used to play live games in a Local pub I visited, in fact the Landlord asked me to run the games every week for him, as he knew I loved the game so much and even offered me free Beer every week instead of a payment for doing it. Which I obviously jumped at.
His only request was I kept it Legal, So we bought in for £5.00 and awarded points for the Final Table Players so that at the end of every quarter we had 4 players who qualified for a Regional Final in a Real Casino in various towns and Cities, and the £5.00 buy-in was split between the top 3 players every week.
I Qualified for so many Regional Finals I played in the casinos quite a lot until one year I decided to give other players a chance I gave up my seat if I didn't Win the League outright. Which I did on several occasions, so I have several Trophies for 1st place finisher.
The only Problem I had was the expense of travelling to the Regionals as some times I had to stay over night in hotels, but I did enjoy playing in them, even managed to make 2nd place in one and qualified for a National Final played in Coventry.
This experience gave me a taste for playing in a Real Casinos and I have bought into several games since. My only recommendation is "Keep it Real" Poker can be very addictive and it can run away with your money if you are not careful, I never entered a game I couldn't afford to lose, and never entered a game thinking I could win it, My only goal in any game I played was to make the Money bubble, and then try to make the Final table, which I have done many times.
I learned that you don't need to win 1st place in a poker game for it too be profitable, Final table pay-outs were enough to make money from the game and some times I won the quarterly League, but never won a single 1st place in any game in that Season, It was consistency that gave me the points I needed, and every week, I finished on the Final table I was amassing Points.
So don't knock yourself for finishing 2nd, I would rather win 10X 2nd places than win 1 outright,

Although 1st place is nicer to Win!

I prefer online. I don’t need to go anywhere, I sit in my pajamas, drink coffee, and enjoy the game at any time.

I prefer online - there are more opportunities for many tables to smooth out the variance, the profit is greater, although I have little offline experience, but offline, as for me, is interesting for its atmosphere

I prefer online for the convenience, variety of games and playing more than one tournament.

Live very rarely. I find people are too serious in live games, as if they are playing a World Series event. I play online most days, mainly freerolls.

I would definitely play in a live tournament where it's more interesting to play, you see your opponents and you can watch their reaction, which gives you even more information about your opponent I don't play live poker because I don't have time to go to online poker tournaments, it's easy to play anytime, which makes it special and irreplaceable nowadays

I don't play live yet so I prefer online but playing live is a dream that I'm going to fulfill

Due to the fact that it is not possible to devote enough time to poker, it turns out that you can only play offline.

I play both but i like live more, In online, you’re basically just clicking buttons and waiting for something to happen. In live poker, that time spent waiting is time that you’re using to watch other people at the table, learn how they play, or even just make conversation with them.
Building a rapport with your tablemates generates action in a way that isn’t possible online, and some player types will play in hugely -EV ways if they’re playing against someone they like having at the table.

Hello when I started playing poker I did it live with friends and the 5-card poker. until I met Texas Holdem online and from then on I never played live again. I only play online

While I would prefer to play more live tournaments and enjoy them most, at this time in my area of the work there is not too many options to play live .
While I love playing online games it's just not as much fun as live ones.

I like the live tournaments better because of the friends I've made at the tables. However, I can say the same for Cards Chat leagues and tournaments.

I prefer to play live poker, but nowadays I only play online poker.
