I'm still learning so this was a great thread to read. Thanks! I have no had any luck with bluffing. Any time I have tried, the opponent had the cards to beat me, so I pretty much don't even try anymore. I just concentrate on the game and I'm sure learning to bluff will come easier in time. I hope so anyway!!!

I usually watch each opponent, I always expect good cards and I bet, when I manage to win the hand one or more times, they start to have respect, some are abused or have nothing to lose, I don't usually bluff many times at the same table, one hour you ends up losing not only the hand but respect, it's a game of patience, study and strategy

I believe that for a bluff to be affective it has to look like a value bet, it has to be a heavy bet +70% if the play is already on the river.

you have to have a good reading of the opponent to make this move and define the opponent's range.

Not going to bluff a calling station. Finding the right spot gets easy as the table dynamics settles in. On a tight table that is limping, might bluff more. Using latter position seems to be best shot. Might have to 3 barrel to sell the story.
