How Important Is Poker In Your Life?

I do not spend much time on poker because I have a job, poker is like a hobby in my free time, but when I have days off or more time I play a lot of poker tournaments and cash games, it's good for me when I somewhere I will win and get extra profit!

I dont think poker is life, yet it is a fun game to play..JMO

Poker was a big part of my life from 18 to early 20s but now is just a bleep on my radar.

You can say the same about anything you devote your life too... Your job.. some people let their job tear them away from everything.. I mean it is all relative to what you want to do with your life. In all things balance is important. I appreciate what you are trying to do with this post and let people that struggle with balance understand that their are more important things than poker, but ultimately it's player specific to how they choose to balance their life.

For me, poker is only entertainment which I devote little time. Around me, a diverse life and it is interesting.

Poker for me in an enetertainment purpose but mostly is a lifestyle. I hate to corroborate with dumbasses in this world so i play to keep my mind off things. Is my escape when there is no other escape,

Played a lot the first 10 years and it was pretty important. Was fun learning and making money. These days I can take it or leave it. Spending a lot of time at the tables doesn't interest me at all.

It stops me from ripping my own throat out.it stop me thinking about all the magical little monkeys running around out there ripping me and everyone off in more ways than you can shake a stick at and at least with poker its a chosen ripoff that is understood and therefore causes less stress and confusion.it gives me hope,something to live for,and occasional rewards that I can't get otherwise living on a benefit.it teaches me solid lessons that can be applied to real life.it has given my mind and body much needed rest from the things I shouldn't talk about but do anyway because no-one freaking else does and it may well be the best and most enjoyable chance I have of making some dollars and being able to move freely in this world once again visiting friends and family without feeling like a financial burden.it gives me the strength ambition and drive to carry on in a world that for a time was so black I could've easily left just for the glimmer of hope that there might be light on the other side.it keeps me from more detrimental gambling habits which were starting to cause troubles in my life,here I can still enjoy a game and/or a win even when I have nothing to spend and last but not least,it gives me enjoyment in life,and that's what's really important...enjoying this life while we can..however we can.yes it has its ups n downs as does anything but at least they are chosen and restricted ups n downs unlike the pathetically designed up n downs of the satanic system that I face every time I'm bold enough to stick my head out the window and see what everyone's up to...poker is my life for now so I guess long story short...it is very important to me still at this point YES very important in my LIFE!

I always take time out to play poker if im feeling good....very important definitely a hobby. sometimes an expensive one other times a very lucrative one haha

Poker is important but not at the expense of family, work etc which is something I've done in the past like getting two hours sleep because you've made an FT of a tourney is crazy when the stakes are not that high. Obvs if you made a Sunday major FT that would be different. I now play on a schedule and have study time too but don't play as much as I used to

I won't say that this is important, but he has a place in my life.

During the pandemic, it was one of the few leisure moments.

It isn't important. But being a Caribbean man, gambling is in my blood. Poker isn't my preferred option for gambling, but it is always good to know how to win some money.

I have to say last month I put a lot of hours into poker. But family and friends come first.
