How important is poker in your life?
Considering the days that are playing tournaments whether online or live, have you stopped to think about how much time you are at the poker tables?
There are people who are addicted to this game, and with that they stay in many times for up to 24 hours in front of their computer, they are unable to disconnect, they end up collapsing with their family and friends, leaving aside their social life, to if they dedicate themselves entirely to poker, they often end up losing everything they had, money, friends and family .... what to do when this type of situation happens?
I usually play a few hours poker, I can not exchange family and friends for poker, but I have many friends who made this choice, today they can see that it was a wrong choice.

this is very relative, if the person wants it for her life, she should devote 100% to poker! need to live poker! otherwise she will be lucky to succeed! but I honestly do not change my life for poker

Poker is a huge part, for both me and my wife. We play online at night (not always for cash, just for practice) we play in person almost every weekend (at a friends, our house or a casino) and host a 20-28 person Tournament in our house once a month, we both look forward to it (most of the time lol) and have a lot of fun. Its a big part of our lives. Also something to do in those cold Canadian winters.

poker in my life is more than just a hobby I can spend it on a couple hours of your time a day and I will be glad I'm not losing a lot of money there, I just spend time occupying a pleasant hobby

I don't work or go out much so I play all that I can. Any responsibilities I have are more important than poker, especially family. Poker is just a game and a hobby...

poker for me is a possible profession, so I'm trying to do my best every day ... I've already seen how many hours I spent playing, there were days that I stayed until all day, I turned the night in some tournaments, but it was worth it , I do not consider myself an addict but rather a person who is dedicating myself to a profession. I do not let poker mess up my social life, and I also plan my games so that the same does not happen with either one or the other ...

I only play CC freerolls now since BOL gave up their freerolls, so about 3 freerolls a week. It does not seem to have much of an impact on my personal life.

It is important since I've been playing for 17 years. There's alot of strategy and discipline involved. I look for the lucky streaks and play them hard when I have the streaks. Poker is as important to me as putting on a pair of socks. I just need to play for higher stakes is all.

I love to play poker whether online or live.
I used to play way to much but I realized I was ignoring a lot of things in my life. I now have a schedule when I play and if I need to take a day off from that schedule that is what it is, a day off and I do not go to make that day up either.
I seem a lot happier in life and my play is a lot better.

Definitely think poker plays a major role in my real life as well. It helps me when trying to be fair with my kids. The tools used while playing poker also help me make the right decisions in my love life as well. Its taught me patience and a given me a firmer understanding of people in general and how they react to things.

For me poker is just interesting hobby which helps me to improve my discipline and keep my mind sharp. If i win also some small amount of money it is welcome bonus. I share my free time between poker and other hobbies so i am not addicted in any way to poker.

Very Important

Poker IS my life. Since I retired, there isn't much to keep my mind occupied, except the occasional math questions that I answer on Quora. I also play chess an hour per night, but this holdem thing has a combination of factors that nothing else has; action, critical thinking, fun, skill, luck, and money!
