Often I am not able to start playing until around 10 at night and sometimes I will play all night on into the next morning.(taking a couple hr nap between 3-7 when not many good games) Surprisingly on several occasions I will kill it on that second day. I believe it's because I fall into a routine of playing the math only. While when I first start playing after not playing for a couple days I want to "out play" people. Trying to steal and chasing when I think they have nothing witch gets me in trouble. After playing for several hrs I fall into this automatic routine where those things don't even occur to me I just play the cards and numbers.

Hello!

I think it all depends on the habit. If I am used to sleeping at night, then I will sleep at 23.00. And if it's not hard for me to stay up all night, then play 24 h

I seen a lady at Bay 101 that played at the same seat for over 26 hours. She cashed out with close to 10k from a 2-5 table.

I play until I run out of chips, but I usually play at just one table, because I get tired and can't focus on the game. I play an average of 3 hours a day,

it all depends on the mood, the charge of vivacity and the degree of importance of the tournaments in which you play. An important role is played by how much money you have at the checkout.

If I remember correctly ... in the past I have written about the fact that the longest online tournament I played was 16h. I reached the final table ... but I didn't take the big prize ...: ((

Depends

I found I can play longer live with maintaining focus and staying alert than I can online. Online tournys, once its past 7 or 8 hours I'm dying. When I'm sitting at a table it can get to 10 hours before I even realize its been quite that long. Maybe the casino is more stimulating having the sights and sounds, and the actual in person interaction with the other players.

lately i have decided that i will be trying to play more cash games instead of tourneys only because tourneys take up so much time. and my Wifey doesn't like that when we cant do anything because of it. But I can go for about 8 hours before getting tired.

good ques:bike:tion ... I personally used to play poker if the game went well .. I remember sitting all night .. I didn’t even want to eat .. tea. coffee and cigarettes ... were my helpers .. but if you fall asleep and start doing mistakes .. it's worth stopping ... a poker game for people with a strong character. I think a couple of hours a day is fine ....

To be honest, I don’t know. About 7-8 hours intermittently, because after that I either stop thinking normally or want to sleep. If without intermittently, I played for a maximum of 4 hours.

This is really depending on a lot of factors, including number of tables, discipline, adrenaline, training and many more.

I would say the quality of the game will surely go down, so maybe one can play for 16 or 24h, but the real question would be "how?", "at what level?"

For me, 3-4 hours of the game is normal, then I start to make mistakes, there is a desire to quickly finish the tournament. As a result, you lose the blinds and end the game.

8 hours shouldnt be a problem if you are serious...
Anyone is expected to be able to focus for 8 hours per day in any job, so poker players should be able to do the same.

Beginners should start out with much shorteer sessions though until they have some routine. Most recreational players probably lose focus after just 1 or 2 hours.

Being able to stop your session when you realize you lose focus is a skill that will save you a lot of money.

I think for every person 2-3 hours of the game is normal, then a recession occurs, so you need to train a lot, study

My max in live poker is about 10 hours, allowing for a short washroom break (washing hands), and an hour for dinner.
Agreed - towards the end of a long session, it is hard to stay focused and make correct plays.

Hello, I ask the following question: it can be an online game and a live poker.
My question is this: how long can a person play poker, giving the best for the game?

Also ask them what they think about the current tournament formats regarding playtime. They think it's ok or if something needs to be modified. regards

I think someone with lot of coffee can play his best at least around 10-12 hours with 5 min breaks in online case but I've seen heard about some people playing even more I think that there is even a challenge of playing 100k hands in one session personally I believe that is a myth hehehe in my case I would say that my lngest session has ben around 4 -6 hours on cash games with 10-15 min breaks and one tourney was some turbo MTT I believe it was the 0.55$ hot I played around 5-6 hours and reach 13-14 place :dancing2:

It’s a strange thing for me online I can’t make it past a couple of hours but in my home game we started at 7-8 pm and break the game around 2-3 am
