How Many of you Never deposited and turned free roll $ into alot?

So far i started playing online again on the 13th. On the 16th i won 6$ on the blitz zone free roll and now i have 104. How about you other players? Whats your story

yeah, I played a private freeroll and won it for $9. Realizing that I couldn't practice BRM even if I tried with $9, I joined a $3 MTT and luck was with me for a $100 1st place. I'm now trying to prove to myself that I can be a winning player at cash games and am playing 4NL on carbon practicing BRM. Good luck growing that $104!

I have done this many times. My best was when Pokerstars was still allowed in the US. I came in fourth in a freeroll for $20. Then the next day I played in a $1 buy in tournament and ended up also finishing in fourth for $450.

6-104$ in less than three weeks?? That's impressive, how did you do that? Did you cash big in a couple of tournaments/play several SNGs/ring games or just more freerolls?
I'm trying to build a bankroll from freerolls myself but I am certainly not doing as well as you are. However, I'm determined never to deposit a single dollar even though I have been temped quite a few times in the last weeks. The people who got me into poker all built their bankrolls solely from freerolls and they all advise me to do the same. I understand it's because it teaches disciplin and bankroll management from the get go which is key to becomming a successful poker player. If grinding freerolls and micros for over a year means I have a chance of becoming as good as they are then that is what I will do.

I am currently trying this myself and was able to get my roll up to 30 bucks.

However it is back down to like 1 dollar so I guess i will just keep trying and learning.

I have deposited and gone up and down but the last time I burned my online bankroll I decided to just go at it from zero. Its hard not to just cave and make a deposit.

Thanks, Yeah i played 1.10$ stud h/l tourneys i cashed 8/16 and 4 of those were top 2 you can see on officialpokerrankings.com. I'm a little disappointed because there are no stud h/l tournys on black chips new network.

3 months ago I won and was up to $313 but now down to 278.00.. Wahhhhh!!! Been playing Maximus and losing it fast. Started another roll on poker host and won $12 and now up 2 $39.... Yahhhhh!!!! I am still the worst player on earth.. Every poker foe will tell you. I play for fun because this game gives me a freaking headache. Variance seems to sick at times and I cant believe how you can keep getting rivered over and over when leading after the the flop or turn and seeing runner runner galore. How is this possible. Does not seem correct but its not my money. So whatever. I will withdraw soon and play live. Good luck everyone. Free money is cool money. Just dont rot your life away on the stupid game. Go get some snatch or party or see family and friends. Play on the side.

Went from zero to $425 (but now at about $350) in a few months. Got it up there and then started dabbling with $10 and $20 tournaments - oops. Back down to $3 and $5 and on the way back up.

I turned .50 freeroll win into 375 ended up losing it all though trying to bump it up to a 1000 before i requested a cashout on betonline in which I thinl something is fishy with that site, i think 'im about done with betonline

I feel like I've played on every poker site thats come and gone in the last 6 years and I can truthfully say I 've never made a deposit on any of them , just grind out some freerolls and go from there, about the only time I've lost money was when they close up , I still get pissed when I think about that lol !!!

In less than 1 year I went from Zero to Hero at BCP. Started with cash from some CC freerolls, and it peaked with me taking 2nd in a 100K Guarantee, for 12K, after taking the PM2 $30 HORSE 1st prize for $2300.

Now if I can ever get anything out of BCP, I will be the happy man.....

Same track here

I'm on the same track of trying to build bankroll from nothing using freerolls. I was able to go up to about $14 and then spew it all in 0.02/0.05 cash games.

I took a 2 month break from polerstars and came back and used my FPPs to play 9 person one table sngs where first takes all wich was 10 dollars. I won 2x I won another couple dollars in a low ring game. Then played a 20 dollar 4person wta h/u vs h/u. I won 80 dollars over the course of 2 days. I think in a way this was winnings from a freeroll like game. Considering FPPs are a benefit that is free if you're playing for real money. I haven't to this day ever saw one of the instant cash tournies from a FPPS for any level star. Maybe there has been though.

same here everytime i start a bankroll off of fr winnings i get setup with winning flops only to be rivered by one outers,just a couple hours ago i flop a straight,only to get rivered by a full house,when the other guy only had pp,i think bol gives you all in cards,flops,so that you can loose and deposit more often,luckily for me id never deposit there

days past it was extremely easy winning from free rolls with several daily. Now I am down to one or two a day cashing most days. Some big wins include 10 day south africa trip including all food and $500 night room, $6250 for second and 5K for first having 12K players.

A lot of people have built sizable rolls after starting in freerolls. A prominent example is WSOPE champ Annette Obrestad who began at 15 and had no way to deposit. In my case, I deposited to an e-wallet, but won a couple of hundred in a freeroll right away, so never actually used the deposited money. So both my current roll and all the winnings I've put in the bank ever since originated from freerolls.
