To be honest, I haven't made deposits for a long time. I play freerolls, for winnings in them I play in inexpensive tournaments or put a little on the map.

My first deposit on PokerStars was 100$, and I started out with cash games. But for the past 3+ years I have mainly been a tournament player playing a mixture of SnGs and MTTs. It has shiftet more towards SnGs lately. Not because I find this ideal, but because I find it more and more difficult to find the right times to commit myself to a long MTT session. I increasingly appreciate the flexibility offered by SnGs, where depending on the format I am rarely much more than an hour away from ending my session, if I want to.

It's been a while since I deposited anything, rather I withdrew money from the game. From what I've learned, Knockout Tournaments are the best for building your Bankroll, you may not charge much per Position, but if you're lucky with Knockouts, you walk away with good money.

I deposit first 30, lost all and then 20 at pokerstars. In the meantime I've won it again and cashed it out and built up a small bankroll. I now only deposit money that I have won on other sites. I mainly play Spin&Gos, Sit&Gos, MTTs and tournaments. Cash also a bit, but I tend to lose there...

Couple years ago I have deposit $20-$30 per month. Now I can't deposit from Bosnia, so I play freerolls and centrolls (RakeTheRake). It's ok, but it's hard to win some dollars. There are so many players. Good and bad. Many TO MUCH ALLIN PLAYERS. I have no choice.

Deposit $50 and if you all lose, then play only freerolls. The prospect of making a profit from poker is a basic source of motivation. Additional sources of motivation are the intellectual challenge, the competitive nature and the social aspect. After the first win, you want more wins.

Yeah I would have to agree 50 dollars is enough to get you going. All you need to do is keep getting in those freerolls and you will have a great time without loosing any big amounts.
