I was 25 years old, I play 9 times but I always go back and forth, so now I focus on poker and make a bankroll, because I'm sure I can.

In my 20s. I enjoyed it but got burnt out in about a month on it and took a very long break.

I learned how to play poker very late. I think I had 33 or 34 years old. Today I play at least 4 times a week (usually a freeroll for fun). In the first time I found it very simple, but when it 'rains money' the game becomes complex.

My aunt taught me to play when I was five. I'm sure I didn't remember much though. Five card draw, 3's and 9's are wild. My brother taught me Texas Holdem in 2003. Never fell out of love with Texas Holdem!![emoji7]

Let's see...

My father was a big fan of the original Maverick TV series (I still have his copy of "Poker According to Maverick" around here somewhere) and hosted a high stakes home game every month.

I too loved the original TV series starring James Garner as Bret Maverick (didn't care as much for Jack Kelly as Bar Maverick) so I picked up the book and read it when I was 6 or 7 years old. From there I proceeded to take my friends lunch money during recess and have been playing ever since. ;)

I was 17 years old and I soon fell in love with this game. I stopped the game 1 or 2 times because of my long-term results but every time I can not help but come back and retry my game luck.

I was 14 the first time I played at a real table. Took lessons when I was 27 from a dear friend. He has now passed away.

Probably 7, I used to play with my family a lot, mainly my cousins, I went on and off, I really started to get "taste" of poker until I was 16.

I stopped playing at 22, because of school and also work... Now I'm back again, ready to rock!

The first time I ever played was when I was 13 but I didn't start trying to play online or get good until last year, age 25. It's been interesting, and probably for the best because I don't think I would have had the discipline when I was younger. Thankfully, this is game you can play as long as your brain works, so I like that I can keep playing for a while, even though I got started a little late.

When I first started playing poker, I was in my 30's. I was introduced to the game by my bridge friend from Canada. We had great fun at the table. Not sure if he till plays but he was a good player.

My love for playing cards started from a young age gin rummy, rummy 500, bridge then graduated to poker which was a good fit and a seamless transition too.

I'm 73 started at the age of 12, playing for match sticks with my Great-Uncle. So 61 years of experience and I still suck at it.

I didn't start playing for real until I was $22. Played in a $100 cash game and lost in 15 minutes. Then bought into a $55 tourney and grabbed third place. I was immediately hooked.
