I also discovered poker through tournaments on ESPN. I would like to see Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, Chris Ferguson, Doyle Brunson... among many others. Very good at that time.

Over 20 years ago I was a Taxi driver and working late into the night, I found it hard to switch off and fall asleep, so I watched late night TV just to wind down, and flipping through the Channels one night I found "Late Night Poker" Since then I was hooked and never regretted taking up the game.
My only regret is I didn't find the game sooner!

My dad and I were into spaghetti westerns when I was a kid, and at some point in those films there would generally be a card game. The poker bug didn't really bite until years later when I was writing a piece of short crime fiction. I needed a setting for a violent murder and a poker game going south fitted the bill. I brought a book on Texas Hold 'em from a charity shop just to learn the rules. The story turned out quite well but, re-reading it a few years on, I'm embarrassed by the amount of mistakes I made about the game.

Now I play poker everyday and the mistakes I make come to light a lot quicker. And cost me money

i knew since i was a little child , but most of the info i found out watching poker series on tv , superstars playing at final tables or cash games , that lured me to poker for sure , then i learned most about poker online

A colleague told my father about poker at work, and I already saw it when my dad started playing at home. This was more than 10 years ago - it’s a pity that I didn’t immediately want to try to devote enough time to this activity - who knows how my life would have turned out now
