Not on microlimits, that's for sure. You can't make that kind of money from freerolls. The bigger the bet, the bigger the winnings.

Someone gets it. That’s encouraging.

I would have to play many more hours than I do now and have the poker site help me cheat a little.

Play a lot (400-500 tournaments a month) to analyze statistics. It would be good to have your own circle, where you can discuss handouts.

Hello. You folks are awesome. I never thought this would create so much interests, imaginative ideas and advice. Wow! I got on my saddle and started riding thru the postings. I could not get off. I am grateful for all your inputs. I even tossed one out there I thought of after posting the thread. I'll keep reading. And for the fella in Brazil, jfofla, good luck to ya. Another person was right, just play right here.

Keep your ideas flowing, please. Looks like there are more than I thought wanting the same goal. Have a good day and good luck in your games, all.

Cheers!

If I had this opportunity, I would draw a game script, to play daily, and I would dedicate myself to these games for part of my day without affecting my work routine, for example, I would play a few hours on weekdays due to the work schedule , hence free time at night would risk an investment for the game.

$500 a month after rake should be easy enough to accomplish, but if you calculate the profit per hour you may think of many easier ways to make money. That being said if you want to simply get paid for a hobby that you love then it should be fairly simple. Find the game you like and enjoy and focus a percentage of your time studying material relevant to what your going to be playing.

Hello. I am very interested to see how folks would or do do it. What a sup to retirement that would be, huh? Thanks!

If i wanted to make $500 a month playing poker I would probably focus on 6-max cash games.

As many have said in the thread, if enough volume was being put in, the rakeback may be enough to cover it.

Regardless, with that goal I'd probably stick with 0.25nl and just put in the volume. Low variance, and the beauty of rush & game selection makes it easy to get in a ton of hands in a short period of time or snipe off some really juicy games.

Probably set the hand target around 40k hands per month, and aim to win at 5bb/100
If that's too much volume then I'd aim for 20k hands per month at 50nl to get the same result

If the $500 is my profit monthly I would cash out and invest the money. It's not much money, but after a couple of years it could be a interesting amount of money.

if someone knew how to make $ 500 he would be a genius and a liar, I don't think there is such a thing, there may be 2-3 monthsi a year in which you can have such earnings, but otherwise I don't think so , so don't give up your job :)

First of all, poker is a game! You can both win and lose, so it's naive to talk about counting on monthly winnings as income...

A pension increase can be given by stable investments for a long time))))

A $500 bankroll can also be stuffed on CC freerolls. But you can't count on it monthly!..

If I could earn $500 a month playing poker, I would gradually increase my bankroll and gradually move to higher limits in order to earn more. Development is one of the most important points in a person's life, and it applies to poker to the same extent

Don't listen to these guys saying it can't be done. You just gotta find what works for you, whether that's cash, mtt's, or sit n go's and just what your bankroll allows for you to play to meet that goal. Good luck.

I think its worthwhile noting that in the past few years, more and more pros are playing PKOS/Bounty Builders as a way of BR Management and also because the value here is so much better - they still play the biggys but supplement their affilate earnings and sponsorship with the bounties they make.
$500 per month for me gets reinvested in these type of tourneys.

it depends if it is cash or if it is freeroll. if you are freeroll you have to play numerous daily tournaments 6 times a week. if you are cash from 25 to 50c 6 times a week 3 hours a day you can make that amount of 500 dollars or even more.

Well, assuming I make $ 500 a month from poker ...
Perhaps I would devote more time to my favorite business, which began to bring such an income :)
Increasing my bankroll, increasing the number of hands in cash games every month, and of course I could afford more expensive MTTs.
