How long would you go without playing poker again? I would only play if there was nothing else to do.

I dunno... 'it depends'... mostly on how long til' the next password comes out. What's the pw?

You'd only play if there was nothing else to do? really? Then why do you even play at all right now? (surely there's more things to do than nothing).

I would play the next chance I got! I am a card fanatic though! Money or no money I am going to play some kind of way! 10 million dollars would be a boost to the bankroll. I could play in the WSOP Main Event, WPT 5 Diamond Championship and many other events since I wouldn't have to hold down a regular job. I could invest in a bunch of Amazon stock and self-driving cars!

Why would I go any amount of time without playing?

I'd get my debts paid, put some money to work with investments and then live life on poker vacations. Hitting up all the various spots and big mtt's around the world and stick around to see the sights once the poker grind period was finished up.

I play the game because I love the game, so i would obviously play more live and bigger tournaments and see the world in the process.

Besides it might seem like a lot of money but you would be surprised at how quickly someone can blow through so much if they don't manage it correctly. Just look at how many people out there have won massive lotteries and within ten years are absolutely broke again.

Best reply I have seen to this same question we get here a lot.

$2,000,000 into Dow stocks with higher dividend payouts (should average about 3.5%) and pull in ~$60,000 per year +/- actual gains/losses.

$6,000,000 earmarked for real estate (that should be able to turn at least 6% return on gross in) for ~$360,000 per year

That'd give $420,000/yr gross, filing jointly we'd have $105,890 in federal taxes, $52,080 in Social Security, and $6,090 in medicare taken out. That'd leave $255,940/yr....that's actually really sobering ugh.

Anyway, at that point the $256k/yr would be without working so that makes it a bit better, plus there's another $2,000,000 to do whatever with. Definitely would have sweet beach homes for my and my wife's parents, and traveling everywhere!

As far as poker, I'd take off as long as it took to do all the world traveling minus whatever I played in casinos all over the world. I'll never stop playing til I die though.

I'd still play, but I'm pretty sure I'd play 1/2 - 5/10 cent micros still when I felt like it. I've got kids though, so they'd keep being priority.

Like the other guy said, I'd invest quite a bit of it, and probably not do much too crazy.

I would have to pay 5M$ for taxes. About $3M I would invest in stocks and so on, about $1M I would spend on buying a new house or two and last $1M I would boost my bankroll enough to play about anything I want, live or online. $100k I already have I would spend on victory party and round-the-world trip.

Honestly I'd take like $50,000 of that and keep playing and try to win more.
If I lose then oh well I still have $9,500,000

Exactly this. And I'd open a restaurant for my chef wife.

I wouldn't stop playing. I would just have to finally learn how to practice bankroll management and stick to it.
