I've been thinking and maybe I need to move back down to 10nl.

Today was absolutely horrid and quite possibly mostly my fault.
So maybe I'm just not ready for 25nl and eventhough I hate to go back to 10nl it could be the best option.

ATM my bankroll is split up between 2 sites. 1 has $518, the other $450 with a $80 bonus half complete and buying a $100 bonus somewhere this week.
Also got $125 rakeback coming, but that's only on the 20-25th of Jan available.

I guess I could combine bankrolls on 1 site, but I'd really rather not. I could just be dumping money playing 25nl overrolled.

I posted my 25nl life time graph here today so do you guys think this is a sign that I am not ready for 25nl and should move down.

If I do I'll hopefully start winning again and will need to set a new move up-limit. Should I set it higher then this time ? I used 20 buyins last time and although I was up some buy ins at first maybe I just have to face that I'm not ready..

at the very least, it would help with your confidence. Since you are properly rolled, that's maybe the main issue here.

Well, he wont be I don't think. But at the end of the day BRM is most definitely a personal thing. If it makes you play better/tilt control etc then its fine imo.

Hmmm.
It just is. Possibly because I'm used to playing for $25 stacks now and $10 stacks are gonna look low and trivial ?

Also the way people play at 10nl. I don't know I should give it another shot and stick it out most likely...

i'd put knives up my butt if i had to play 10nl again (not that i ever played it seriously)

THAT should not matter. Stacks are measured in big blinds, not in $. If $ matters, than you're playing for the thrill of gambling, and that's a bad attitude for a serious poker player.

Also the way people play at 10nl.

You know, there's not such a huge skill difference between the levels. You're probably over adjusting when you move up.

I took three goes to move from 25nl to 50nl, 2 tries at 50nl to 100nl and I had 75k hands at 200nl before I moved back down to 100nl. I was winning at each of them and aside from 200nl hugely overrolled from day 1. What I wasn't happy with was either the swings, the winrate or my depth of understanding at the level. So I moved down each time to regroup and try again.

I think you are trying to move too fast. Poker is a game learned over years, not days, weeks or even months. I set myself a breakeven target of 5 years when I started and I meant it (admittedly I'm a bit ahead of schedule) but I'm in no hurry to get where I want to be eventually, winning really big sums. If it takes another 10 years to get there I'm up for that and there will be many bumps in the road along the way.

Take your time, the journey is as important as the destination. And other such zen crap.

If you drop back down and run good and beat the "donks" at 10NL then what you waiting for go and beat them and then start again at 25NL with a better roll and when your game is on form.

If you think they are that bad go and beat them and proove they are that bad.

We play 50,000 hands - whoever has won more (or lost less after rake) gets a set of stainless steel kitchen knives. I even give you 3:1 odds, meaning you will get three sets of kitchen knives! Sound good? We should make it public too, imo.

Lose/lose imo. You still both have to play 10nl anyways.

+1. I've learned that one key mindset in poker is to de-value money and think of stacks as chips only. You'll never have a clear head if you worry about how much a $25 stack is or how "trivial" a $10 stack is. It's just BB's or chips, either way.
