Well just got back home after a week away and what progress I had made in my fledgling poker career has gone. I had grinded through freerolls and had $15 dollars on bodog and 10 on T6 (all gone now).

I suppose the question I have is how many hours or hands do you guys play a day and do you have a strict routine of playing like a certain time or set up?

I've been thinking about how and when to play recently, I did used to play most nights and weekends grinding away in low limit tournys making a small profit or breaking even in most cases. I have since changed to playing less often for shorter periods of time and playing higher stakes, I play s&gs mainly. Since doing this I have had a much better return on my time, of course it all depends if you have the funds to replace your bankroll but so far I havn't had to.

I found if I played for too long on the lower limit games with no luck I ended up playing more reckless as I would start thinking it's only a couple of quid why am I wasting my time. If I lose a couple of bigger stake games or win big I find it easier to just stop playing.
