Hello everyone, I would like to know what you think about the level of poker of Latin American players in all their online platforms. The specific question would be if they believe that the Latin American level has managed to be at the level of the American or European players?

When I was playing on Party Poker one of my favorite tournaments was the LIGA $3.30 tournament because of the passive nature of many of the opponents, so I would have to say Latin American players have a ways to go in general.

there are definitely a lot of good Latin American players online with a good aggressive style, I think they even sometimes get too carried away with it)

I don't think we can generalize Latin Americans or North Americans ou Europeans or Asians as a single group. There are many great poker players at each region, and there are terrible players everywhere too. We have a few bracelet winners among Latin Americans, and North Americans, Europeans and Asians. Every generalization is close minded imo.

Haven’t scrolled through the thread yet. Just saw the opening post.

Can’t help but wonder how badly I’d get torn apart if I posted it. Someone would def think I’m pissing all over players from Latin American countries.

Seen a few of these types of threads here. Which nationality are the worst players kinda thing. And those threads always go sooooo smoothly.

I believe that in the United States and in Europe they are one or two steps ahead of the other places

No no, the idea is not to destroy Latin American players, on the contrary we want to know if we are going to improve over the years. All the questions make good sense

Hello.
Regardless of nationality, players are of different levels. Poker is not a national football team, poker is an individual game where each player can prove himself through skill and experience, regardless of nationality. In other words, in poker, your success depends only on you and not on your opponents.

From what I've read here and there, there are some great players. Now I am sure that the COVID context is attracting a lot of new players and the average is definitely going down. 🤔

I think the vast majority of brazilian players is of very very confused people with some animal tendencies, or in other words they are not gentlemans
but I like and respect the good ones
I dont have any good obvservetions to the other players of South America.

I don't think it has anything to do about where you come from it's all a matter of strategy and what experience a player brings to the table.

I think that Latin American players are very good, there are many references of this sport, but they are very few in comparison with Europe, but I think that poker is a sport where in any country you can succeed, if you put dedication, study and hard work.

There are many strong Latin American players, including players who are members of our community. I noticed that Latin American players usually prefer an aggressive style of play. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's not. But in general it is everyone's personal choice.

I think there are excellent Latin players at the pro level
. At other levels, there are many who find it difficult to access tournaments because of purchasing power, since all tournaments are in dollars.

MTT limit under $16.5 at the PokerStars = (LAL)Latin American Lottery. Participation ticket = any Ace. Got ace - push all-in. Not sure if it's favela style or if there is cocaine involved, or maybe such poker is advertised at spanish-portuguese speaking poker sites, but that's what I see quite often. I was laughing hard recently when I saw 4 players went all-in preflop in $5.5 bounty game, all from LA countries, and the biggest stack from Argentina with the worst and stupidest ace - A7 won against AK-AJ hands. By the way all stacks above 30BB, and it all started after 2bb straddle. SO how smart is this - there is a 2bb raise in front of you, together with antes, BB+SB, in total it's let's say 5bb pot, and you're in UTG2 or EP with 30+bb stack, and let's say AQos. And what's your move? Instant Brazilian all-in is what I see way too often. Hot and risky poker.
