What was your longest break from poker?? Mine was 5 years. from a year after my marriage until about a year ago and just started playing daily again in the last few months

I have taken 6-9 months off before... thats about the longest break I've had since I started playing in 2004-2005.

my longest break from poker was about 1 year

Maybe a week, but I haven't been playing long. Even if I'm not feeling all that interested in playing my best, I'll fire up a freeroll or two.

My opinion

I had two withdraws from poker. Both about six months. One was cause I was sent to the mental hospital. The other cause I was sent to jail. Both times it was my fault. Thinking everyone was out to get me then flipping out. I have kind of learned to just blow off the people now. Its not worth caring.

I took a break for over a year once. My financial situation changed and couldn't spare the money to play. I started back playing small stakes. It is still fun!!

For me it's just recreational.
There are times when I play a lot, and others I get without playing.

Went about three months without any poker. Right now, I'm at a few SnG a week. Still consider that a break compared what I've played over the years.

Between my initial period when i played for fun for a few months in the university and the serious period that i experience now passed around 10 years. If we do not consider this the longest period for which i have not played at all was around 1 month during the summer. There are just too many things to do in the summer other than playing poker.

started on july 15th 2012 and ended on december 1st 2019. I was planning a 2 weeks, a month max of break..

I had to practically start all over again. The game changed a lot since!!
