Through the first 71 hands in a tourny i've been dealt 0 pocket pairs. My best two starting hands so far? A2o and K9s.

Meanwhile it's the most aggressive tournament table i've ever seen i think so there have been absolutely zero steal opportunities (i've got a 65/40 on my left)

good times! lol

almost to the shove/fold stage now

I pretty much hate april right now. Ive been playing particularly horrible ever since i got back from my cruise around a month ago. Don't know what it is. Im now the biggest spewtard at 100NL. Don't know why I cant get my head screwed on straight. Every time i sit down i think "Hmm, i bet i can push this 75/2 off top pair here for 150 BBs. I JAM!" Then I think to myself how stupid it was and i smack myself in the head and say dont do it again, but I just keep doing it.

I should post some HHs. Some are pretty hillarious.

1. I backraise shove AJs after a short drooler 3-bets.
2. Urindanger1 calls me a donk for "going all-in with AJ"
3. Urindanger1 says he makes more in 1 day than I do in a week (he's 66/17)
4. I tell him no he doesn't.
5. He challenges me to HU.
6. I ask if 50NL HU is good.
7. He agrees.
8. I begin the process of closing down all my tables.
9. I stack Urindanger1 150bb deep.
10. He immediately leaves.
11. I follow him :

Is this all due to your coaching Chuck?

If so how do you think it has helped you?

Need an honest answer here. am I wasting my time playing sit and go's grinding up a little at a time, should I switch to cash? Whats better about cash other than the money?

First, I'll take all the credit for the good karma ;)

Second, I know it feels GREAT to have a big winning day but I think it's important that you keep yourself on an even plane. If you don't want super emotional lows, you can't have super emotional highs. I'm not trying to piss on the parade here but I am trying to keep you focused bud.

no, haven't been getting the coaching from baluga yet, Mr. M. I think I'm opting out and will buy his book instead, which is nearly 1/3 the cost of BW's course, and hopefully will be more bang per buck.

Playing cash is probably more profitable, but requires much more studying, discipline and actual skill - not to hate on the STT players. It's a different game, but if you put the same effort into both, I don't doubt you'd make more in rings.

Hey, who's the coach here?

Of course you're right, but really I'm more happy that I'm playing well than running well. It's been a while since I played solid poker, and it's nice to be immediately rewarded for it.

Time to put one more session in with Jared to keep the ball rolling. Tuesday methinks...

There is nothing wrong with emotional highs if you can control the emotional lows - i don't think they are completely interrelated. You can certainly be happy after a good period of poker (i wouldn't know, been a while) but try not to let the bad sessions affect your mood. omg i'm too happy...must....stop...

Though i see what you are saying.

I don't think it's entirely coincidence that I started winning again like immediately after I said I wasn't doing it anymore.

Yeah def, I feel the same way about myself :)
I'm still heating it up as far as I can see, but I like to think I fixed my game up too.

And this was fun: I suck for stacking a donk.
(our hands are in the top of the chat KK vs 55 on 7 hi flop after 3betting pre)
