Nice work TB, sucks the way you lost, but still a nice cash anyways

Yea was kinda sucky, but its weird, going out like that in an online MTT would prob leave me steaming because it just like ends.

Getting a big pile of cash and a few pats on the back makes a hell of a difference.

Now on to win the Party wsop qualifier tomorrow. 4th in the ME would also be nice ;)

Ok se we established I need to steal more and 3bet more aswell as other things but the others are postflop. I decided to focus on stealing and 3betting to start with.

3bet
BTN - 3.2
CO - 2.7
SB - 2.7

Steal
BTN - 35.3
CO - 21.2 :O

Obvs I need to steal more CO a tonne more and abit more from the button and SB but what about 3betting stats? More from which position ?

Jurn, I don't know if CO is all that wrong. I don't know the numbers but it seems normal that CO is lower than BTN and SB..

Also <3 days where you actually get some value from sets.

Pre-Flop: Hero is UTG+2 with 5:club: 5:heart:
Hero calls $0.25, 5 folds, SB raises to $1, BB folds, Hero calls $0.75
Flop: ($2.25) 9:spade: T:club: 5:spade: (2 players)
SB bets $2, Hero raises to $7, SB raises to $15.50, Hero raises to $24.78 and is all-in, SB calls $9.28
Turn: ($51.81) A:diamond: (2 players, 1 is all-in)
River: ($51.81) J:heart: (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Results: $51.81 pot ($2.59 rake)
Hero showed 5:club: 5:heart: (three of a kind, Fives) and won $49.22 ($23.44 net)
SB showed Q:club: Q:spade: (a pair of Queens) and lost (-$25.78 net)

Pre-Flop: Hero is MP1 with J:heart: J:spade:
UTG+1 calls $0.25, UTG+2 calls $0.25, Hero raises to $1.50, 6 folds, UTG+1 calls $1.25, UTG+2 folds
Flop: ($3.60) J:club: K:diamond: 8:heart: (2 players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $2, UTG+1 raises to $4.50, Hero raises to $10, UTG+1 calls $5.50
Turn: ($23.60) 9:spade: (2 players)
UTG+1 bets $8.18 and is all-in, Hero calls $8.18
River: ($39.96) 2:diamond: (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Results: $39.96 pot ($1.99 rake)
UTG+1 showed 9:heart: K:heart: (two pairs, Kings and Nines) and lost (-$19.68 net)
Hero showed J:heart: J:spade: (three of a kind, Jacks) and won $37.97 ($18.29 net)

Can't imagine why I would have ever wanted to not bet sets. I was such a retard :D

My opinion:

Stealing:

CO is fine, maybe a bit more. I'd be stealing way more from the button, SB seems fine possibly even a bit high depending on how much the BB defends.

I disagree about 3-betting needing to be higher. I've been playing a bit of 50nl to get hands in and honestly there are so many people who just do not fold to 3-bets. So of course against those people I would be 3-betting hands like AQ/AJ/KQ/99+ in position. Out of position I'd just stick with 3-betting monsters. Basically instead of trying to get a certain percentage though you want to look at the opponent. If the guy to your right or 2 to your right is stealing a lot and folding to a lot of 3-bets, 3-bet him a ton.

it depends on what the guy does postflop. if he's calling 100% of your 3bets and playing fit or fold postflop it's very profitable to 3bet him a lot and then c-bet/barrel to take it down postflop (win a bigger pot)

Well the majority of players at 50nl like that just don't like to fold period. Obviously not calling 100% but they're not folding any draw or any pair postflop. For example guy yesterday called a 3-bet oop with J2o and then check-raised a J-high flop. But yeah agreed if they like to call your 3-bets then fold a lot that it can be profitable. Basically you just have to look at how they're playing and how you can exploit it, but I think in general 3-betting light is going to be less profitable against the average 50nl player than say a 200 or 400nl player, just because they're in general calling way too much.
