Stop something, I don't know what your playing but you should be playing micro mtt. It's really hard to lose that much this way. Take advantage of all CC freerolls and specialty games. Good games with better competition than most MTTs.
That's a interesting method

All depends. Is $850 a lot of money to you? Personally there are many other things I'd rather spend that money on - rent, food, electricity, ... new Porsche. :)

That is QUITE an EXPENSIVE porche:rolleyes::rolleyes:
Please do tell us the address also where to purchase a new porche at such a fine rate:D

One train of thought on this is to play, but match your skill level to the stakes you are playing.
You should be studying as much as you are playing.
Drop down to the micro levels and win your stake to the next level.
at the $0.01/0.02 level start with $100. That is 50 big blinds and play that until you win 150% of the big blind for the next level. When you get that , just keep playing until you step up the ladder. By doing this you will keep your bank roll inline with your skillset.
If you are losing instead of winning, then study more and get something like Poker Tracker so you can find your leaks.
You have got to gain confidence so that you expect to win. This might sound crazy, but give yourself permission to win.

No, cut back on the games maybe, reevaluate your play. For that money, maybe get a coach, I think it would be worth it. If you start to win or the coach says poker is just not for you, still money well spent.

My advice is to study your leaks. You lost money but you learned something. Analyze every hand and tag all the players that are aggro, fish, or regs.

If you are consistently losing money, you should NOT quit. Instead, let me know what table you are on and I will come and help you. :D

It depends on how passionate you are about the game. If it's just a hobby that's costing you a lot of money, you know there are cheap ones around and without the frustration. But if you like poker and want to be serious about it, then you have to put in the necessary work. Studying the game for instance is crucial nowadays. In fact, poker theory and concepts are constantly changing and you really need to keep up in order to have (or not) a chance.

Not necessarily. All gamblers & poker players have ups & downs. Don’t bet the rent money, but the cards will turn

What do you play? What level are you playing? If it is tourney, also what buyin level, how big fields? How many hands, tourneys have you played? etc. Basically you don't say any fact what could be a starting point to decide yes or no - except you lost some money, what already happened with all poker players. So based on that, no, you shouldnt stop.

If you just started, you picked the worst room. High rakes, no real rakeback program, everybody wants to earn huge, so they go there, as they still have the biggest player pool. In my opinion, very bad idea to start poker in that room.

YES - stop playing poker if you're unable to quit and lose $$

Make money by saving up for a down payment on a house.

After you get that.

Then you can afford to lose money playing poker anytime.

Thank you for listening!

..bluff..

Stick to free-rolls for a while, do a lot of studying, starting with Cardschat 30 day Poker School, maybe follow a few Pro's on Youtube and Twich, read a couple of good Poker books, but most important, don't be in such a rush! 2 months is not that long, I have been playing for over 20 Years and still do all those things.
Poker skill's come with Time, Practice and Patience, and cannot be learned over night, as the Great Poker legend Doyle Brunson say's "Poker is a game you can learn in 5 minutes, but it takes a lifetime to master".

When the fun Stops, STOP!

Poker should be funny. It can also be a hobby and sometimes hobbies cost money. You have to know why you play poker and what you want for it.

If you invest in poker and start to lose money, then you should think about whether you are the right choice, maybe you have chosen something else, you cannot call it any other way than excitement

If you can afford it.... f... it

If you can afford it and you enjoy it then sure keep on.

I mean people spend a lot of money in there hobbies.

But perhaps it would be clever to go through some tutorials online to improve your chances.

Might make the game even more enjoyable.

But like I said, if you enjoy it and can afford it, DO IT.:D:D:D

it would be advisable that you give yourself a break in the game, that will help you first not to lose more money, second, you can correct your mistakes, and third to create a solid strategy that will help you make money in the long term, sometimes we make mistakes of beginners to play and play and do not have game strategies, that in the long run makes you lose time, so if you want better results you should study the game a lot and ask for advice, that way you will be more disciplined with your game in all aspects.
