Over thousands of hands, the effect of luck diminishes. As the sample size grows—into the tens or hundreds of thousands of hands—correct decisions increasingly become reflected in the results.

Poker is 100% a game of skill in the long run. However there is a large element of luck in the short term. Professional poker players mitigate the luck aspect by consistently making mathematically superior decisions and therefore winning in the long run.

In this world of online poker. Luck is the main protagonist. For example, I AK the other 83 and in the fourth and fifth cards, 33 come out.

Sometimes it's luck, poor shuffling, a good bluff and how you play your hand...

Luck is very necessary, Chinese citizens know that very well, they are lucky everything they connect everything they win with absurd hands like 92, 35, 85, A2 I can't play like that I need to have a KA to be able to pay for an all in, these people are not afraid and get into tournaments just to hurt 🙃

Long term (in a big sample) long term does not matter, only the skill counts.

The only thing they hurt in the long run is their own wallet...

It's extremely important—it's part of the game. I like it when you take out the big hands

its like black jack 50/50 % or you win the hand or you loose the hand
and with poker you have luck involved you play against luck and opponents cards .. double hard to get valeu out of winnings .
and goooood bluffing players are end up losing , because there is not a good enauhg bluff stile what ends up winning in long time .

I think the general public usually overestimates luck in poker. They see one big hand or a bad beat and assume the whole game is just gambling, but over a large sample size skill makes a huge difference. bankroll management, reading opponents, making better decisions, and controlling emotions are what separate winning players.

That being said, players often underestimate how much luck affects short-term results. Even great players can go through long downswings because variance is a real part of the game. I'd say luck has a big impact in the short term, but skill is what shows up over thousands of hands.

Luck is what ultimately determines who wins a tournament or reaches a final table, but skill is what consistently helps you make deep runs even when luck isn't on your side. Of course, luck is a crucial factor, but if you don't know how to play strong hands and key spots correctly, you won't get the most value out of the opportunities you're given. So both are important, but luck is often the final piece that turns a good run into a final table or a tournament victory.

In the long term, skills are more important. In the short term, luck is more important.

In general, it's okay to be lucky in life. In sports, medals and rankings sometimes depend on luck. I think poker is primarily a game of chance. That's all I've said

More or less important than what? Everybody has the same lucky so it's how you play the game and maximise wins/profits and reduce losses

In my opinion, luck in poker is almost the most important thing, especially in tournaments. Without luck, you won't get very far; you'll end up in the cooler one way or another.
